How satisfying to OP your months interest! A £30 pm reduction in interest is pretty impressive in 6 months as wellDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

No OPs made but enjoying a rare free weekend. Went to see Bridget Jones with the eldest on Friday which was great. Decluttering one step at a time, yesterday did the huge bedding collection under our bed. Now have a large pile of textile recycling and charity donations to get rid of. I also sorted a load of books which should get around £30 from WOB, and have listed those they don't want on our local book sharing group. Another 4 heading out via that route. I'm tempted to do some more sorting this morning - we'll see!
A YG, Pr*lific and SB survey completed this morning, all helps!
DH isted a couple of bits on the bay of E so between all these things I'm hoping to make another OP.

Hi all,
Back from a lovely few days away. Treated ourselves to lots of nice eating and drinking out but nothing too extravagant and we really enjoyed it. Also did a sub 30 min parkrun (just) in the first time for nearly two years!
Fairly calm working week for me, from home for the next two days then a day off for running followed by in person teaching day and a full evening of meetings.
Waiting for various surveys to pay out plus the books order then will split between savings and OPs.
Working towards the mortgage starting with a 4 is my next medium term goal.
Hope everyone has a good week 😀

Morning all,
Lovely weekend away with school friends, and relatively cheap!
The March OP of £636.62 has gone in, and there will be a bit more available to OP this month, just waiting for money to be shuffled around.

Money shuffling complete and £235 OP made - wipes out March's interest and a little bit extra.
No CT and income from books and various surveys has helped to do this. When my SE income comes in I'm planning to split between pension/ long term savings and OP.Mortgage £35, 147.42

Happy Wednesday all,
A relaxed start to the morning as not starting work till a little later, a few surveys done and a bit of money sorting.
CT bill will now be paid over 12 months - it's gone up but I have still added £25 to our standard OP. I've opened a fixed rate savings at 7% too as feeling like S&S ISA is not the best place for medium term savings at the moment. Will keep paying into the long term savings one.
