    Thanks for stopping by @debtfreeoneday

Today's calculation of monthly interest means we're down to £234.79, so around £30 a month off in 6 months, hopefully we should see that dip below £200 this year.

Self-assessment bill all paid,  and spreadsheet updated. Claimed £90 that was sitting in topcashback which will pay a third of a little mini break for 2 next month 😁

£30 reduction is great progress. That’s in your pocket not the mortgage provider!

Updated all the pots as SE earnings are now in.
From next month have slightly raised standard monthly OP to £636.62, monthly payment has lowered v slightly and DH's payrise has been split between £100 a month to the home/ holiday savings and £100 a month to OP.

We'll have 2 months of no council tax so can make extra OPs in Feb and March and I'm going to pay it over 12 months from April and will up the monthly OP accordingly.

I’m still in two minds over our council tax but think I will still do 10 months this year.

Payday for 2 jobs and DH today, so a little bit of shuffling money around, got an OP to make but mortgage banking app and website is down so will have to wait. £181 council tax equivalent plus a round up with P*lific surveys and a relatively cheap Jan means I can pay £234.79 extra OP this month - cancelling out the interest from Jan 😁
It's also our first month of slightly bigger OPs so I'm champing at the bit to update the spreadsheet. Suspect it'll be a Monday job now.
NSD here, I did have Pilates this morning but that is paid in advance and I used Christmas money to do so, I am going to sign up for next half term I've really enjoyed it and it's a good treat from my extra SE earnings this month, most of which is being used to boost SE pension and savings. Excellent using up of veg soup made (kale and carrot), which should do lunch tomorrow too.
Got a largeish box of CS donations to drop off with my post Xmas sorting and am going to get a lift as DH drives past on his way to work - really don't want to make a special journey but can't carry it so this is a good solution.
    Happy weekend all

The banking app is working so made the planned £234.79 extra OP, quite pleased with that after the unexpected student loan payments due to doing my tax return last month.
I'm going to try and build some surveys up so I can do the same next month - quite enjoyed the feeling of wiping out the interest at the end of the month and potentially will have a few more OPs in Feb as and when different payments come in and these will come straight off the balance.
Was feeling quite chuffed as did a quick declutter of a drawer and put 6 more items in the CS box but we got there and it was shut, so the donations had a little drive to DH's work and back instead! Will drop off as we pass this morning, might set myself the challenge of adding 4 more items...
Won't be a NSD as we have mil's gifts to buy, we're heading north to take her out for lunch tomorrow for her birthday.
Will update sig and pots on Monday once all the money has moved about!

Satisfied with all the spreadsheet updating although banking app not showing standard OP yet.
Realise we're getting quite close to the mortgage starting with a 4 (hopefully in May).
I'm quite happy with the savings growth too. It's felt like a tough month with us both working a lot but we have our Feb mini break coming up and some weekends with no plans!

OP of £158 gone in this morning, unexpected and not needed fuel money from mil plus DD1 has paid us for a flight later in the year (booked and paid for by us about 6 months ago).
Felt quite wiped yesterday so happy to have a full day at home today, although planning a gentle run mid morning.

My SE pay has come in surprisingly early so have sent an extra OP of £80. The rest will be split between pension and savings, will update spreadsheets later today 😀
    Happy Friday!
