    Morning all,
New DD OP of £686.62 gone in bringing us very close to mortgage starting with a 4. Am tempted to use some of the holiday/ home savings to get there quicker but will assess again once SE income comes in.

A reasonably low cost month ahead planned.

    Morning,

Had a bit of time to work out what money is left to come in this month plus outstanding expenses so have made an extra OP of £388 from short term savings.
It means the mortgage starts with a 4 🎉🎉🎉and won't start with a 5 again as April's interest is already paid.
Not the best week for me as had a horrible sickness bug and missed a day's SE work, am nearly back to feeling ok now.

    Thanks @beanielou
Still enjoying looking at the new total beginning with 4!
S & S ISAs are taking a bit of a hit at the moment but all the bits we can actually control are going ok.
Had a lovely week, a big walk in the mountains with DH - not very spendy as just a lunch and snacks to take up with us, then catching up with friends, drinks, takeaway, breakfast and lunch came to £65 so am very pleased with that. Plus it was so nice to spend time with lovely people 😍
Heading out for a run shortly and then a bit of a catch up with house stuff and spending time with the youngest is on the cards.
    Happy Sunday all,

Hello all, a lovely day today.
Feeling grateful for a morning run (plus slightly treaty coffee and delicious Easter pastries), a chat with my Dad and a good yoga session. Had a quick blast of cleaning the bedroom, and a sort of the bathroom drawers (overdue as couldn't find anything). Everything out of date was chucked and a good tidy up means the drawers can function properly.

For now, the roast dinner is in the oven and I'm planning a glass of wine with my book in the sunshine.
    Happy Easter weekend all.

    Morning all,
Good start to the day with a Pro!ific survey meaning I could cash out £6.20, rounded up and split between savings pots.
Illness last month has meant a much reduced SE income for me this month but DH needs to claim some extra hours covering his boss so have suggested he does that soon!
Plans today- working, with a run break. Must have an early lunch so not starving when out as that increases my likelihood of cake buying.
Have seen a job to apply for so need to keep plodding away at the application form this week.
Need to book a shop with Mr S.

I'd like to find an extra £70 to OP this month (on top of the £686.62), have worked out that it would mean £1k off the mortgage total as it would cover the interest and seeing the mortgage start with a 4 was very motivating. My next goal is seeing it start with a 3.
    Have a good day all,
    S

    Morning,

Another Pro!ific payout yesterday and updating the spreadsheet made me happy enough to make the extra £70 OP. Our standard OP of £686.62 has gone out today.
A busy day ahead, my SE day and also have a meeting for one job and some emails to do for another!
    Happy 1st day of May!

Well done on all your OPs and focus
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

    Hi all,

Had a slightly spendy day yesterday - £7 on running fuel for weekend marathon, £20 treating a friend for lunch (got gorgeous baby cuddles too), and new glasses for DH were over £200!

Today has been a complete NSD, volunteering at parkrun followed by a NT visit where I got in as a guest and was treated to a delicious scone and coffee followed by a little potter around the garden.
Tomorrow should just be fairly low spends, driving to marathon but taking a friend who is providing post run food and a very easy tea planned for tomorrow evening. The biggest risk of spending is an ice cream as it's forecast to be v hot!

    Looking forward to it though!

    Morning all,
A nice gentle start to the day for me today - need to start work shortly as would like to finish mid afternoon.
Had a good trip to London for Women's FA Cup on Sunday, very reasonably priced tickets (and it was a birthday present for DS), trains weren't running so we ended up driving but that probably saved us money!
    Fairly frugal week planned.
Hope you all have a good one.
