GAS/ELECTRIC RENEWAL - CANT FIND ANYTHING CHEAPER THEN WHAT I HAVE
Comments

I made the decision in March that a two year fix would probably be best as expecting rising prices for many reasons over the next few years .

Overall, so I am anticipating due to energy prices going up, if my usage is the same as last years' an increase of £120. + extra £14. per year on top, I can fix for 24months with no exit fee. I have included VAT in those prices.xlnc99 said:extra 14 per month or overall?0 -
Its really a pain switching every year or two years! Due for renewal first week of August so will wait till end of July to see best options and make a decision. Will update thread accordingly1

Its time to look for the Renewal. Ive had a look at Symbio who works out a good price but their reviews are horribble.
Very scared going with them - anyone had experience with them?0 -
I have found a great deal with Symbio - better then what i had with AVRO for Gas only.
But the reviews are so bad - is it worth paying a little exxtra to go with a reputable company0 -
You can wade back through this if you wish:xlnc99 said:I have found a great deal with Symbio - better then what i had with AVRO for Gas only.

They are not the easiest to deal with, but they are (one of) the cheapest!
I've been with them for two years now and, as long as you keep an eye on them, they're OK.

Thanks - ive had a look and it does not bode well.
Thsi is for my elderly parents and i need something straightforward hassle free.
I seen Green - they offer some okayish prices and ok reviews. I may have to go with them0 -
Yes, I would not recommend Symbio in your circumstance.

Yes, dont go to symbio if you're going to leave your elderly parents to it. If you're going to manage it and keep an eye on it that would be ok, but if you want something simple and completely hassle free then avoid and go a bit more expensive.xlnc99 said:Thanks - ive had a look and it does not bode well.

Yes that is what i did. I spent all day yesterday and this morning looking. Variable options were cheaper but decided against that. Too much hassle switching again in a few months.
Decided to stick with AVRO. The cheapest renewal price was green who were around 10 pound a year cheaper then AVRO.
Wasnt worth the hassle of switching to a new company ive never dealt with. Avro have been brilliant for my parents, hassle free. Worth paying the extra 10 pound just to stick with them.
I defo recommend AVRO to anyone - good prices and very easy to deal with1
