Will check this week and see if anything turns up.0 -
I haven't heard anything from DCB regards the extension either - is it worth a follow up email or is my having sent the email proof enough?0

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

**Update**
I have now received the SAR - it has included the three letters apparently sent to me over the past three years, which I don't remember receiving, certainly not the latter two as I had moved address.
What's the next step from here?0 -

MP's response:
Thank you for your email about your experience with a private parking charge. .
I know that parking charge notices issued by private companies are often designed to look like penalty charge notices - which are issued by local authorities - in an attempt to blur the rules between public and private car parks. I also understand that many people feel intimidated into paying unfair charges and I believe the indiscriminate and excessive enforcement used by some private parking companies is a real problem.
A Private Member's Bill was introduced on this issue in Parliament back in July 2017. It set out plans to create a higher standard for parking across the sector by creating a single code of practice for parking operators. The code was expected to include obligations for private car park operators to have clear signage and accessible displays of terms and conditions. Parking operators that fail to comply with the code of conduct will also be blocked from accessing driver data and issuing fines, effectively forcing them out of the industry.
The Bill was supported by the Government, the Opposition, the RAC and the British Parking Association and received Royal Assent on 15 March 2019.
I believe it is vital that the code of practice outlaws dodgy practices in the industry, which is why I was pleased to support the Bill.
The legislation was long overdue and I had hoped it will go some way to rebuilding the shattered trust between car park operators and the motoring public.
Thank you once again for contacting me and I will bear your experience in mind when this subject is debated in the future.
