Good tip. Thanks. What were your thoughts on adding a battery. I see they do a 2.4kw Pylontech for an extra £1300. Seems tempting and gives the potential to upgrade later.

You need to work out whether you feel like a battery is worthwhile, for me I ran numbers and decided it wouldn't really help that much as my base load is quite high, and now without Octopus GO allowing non-EV users, I wouldnt be able to charge it from cheap electricity during the night so I feel like I've made the right choice.

  • Thanks. That makes a lot of sense - I am in a similar position. It is difficult to predict base load going forward as I am not sure whether I will be going back into the office. I am erring towards including a small battery - if only so that I don't have to include a new inverter if I upgrade later.

Exporting on agile is very attractive, today would have netted me around £3 in SEG.

Installation tomorrow, slightly anxious if I'm honest.

Had to switch to a Growatt inverter as the Solax wasn't available but I'm told they're all much of muchness at this pricepoint.

Install delayed until Weds as they are struggling with sourcing the panels, but they've upgraded me to 390w as the 385w ones aren't available anywhere.

yes think that's going to be my problem shortages/prices hikes . might have missed the boat on solar pv , and they even got a mention from Martin on the TV. Although i think his prices were a bit high and he said you had to have a south facing roof which isn't correct.

I hope I don't get banned for questioning Martin..

Looks like you will have to update you footer again hopefully for the last time.

    Thanks  :D

They are still offering the original prices on their site https://www.ecorenewablesgroup.co.uk/solar-pv/

Worth getting a quote as they're valid for 30 days anyway.
