Interesting to see that they can get quite close to the velux I was working on 400mm. although it could be the perspective.

Anyway you say in your footer no shading look like the wires will cast a shadow in the winter :)
Sun is down before they're an issue.

  • Can't really see any problems of being close to the velux to the side. Potentially more of a problem if the panels are above the velux.

Difficult to say but assuming the wires are at least 1m away from the panels, the shading will be fairly diffuse due to scattering.

Sorry was only joking about the wires, might mean I can get a couple more panels than I thought though. Just need to get a retaining wall built first as access to the garage roof isn't safe ATM.

Aestetically would have been nicer without the panel under the velux but thats my south facing roof.

If you think that's aesthetically unpleasing you should see my roofs. I have panels dotted everywhere. Some of the neighbours won't approve but they are there to do a job and they do it pretty well!

How many of us actually pay any attention to what the neighbours' rooves look like ?

Done, saw a tiny bit of generation before the sun went down.

Installers doesn't know their installer code for Growatt so can't access that at the moment.

Cable routing to the consumer unit was an absolute nightmare, I have holes in places there shouldn't be holes :(
