Easy ticketing rescheduled events
They have moved an event and I can't have refund.
Trust pilot reviews explaining they are struggling to get refunds and Events being cancelled multiple times.
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.easyticketing.co.uk
Their email recently says
Our policy with events being rescheduled in relation to COVID-19 is not to issue refunds, this is stated in our terms and conditions under term 46 which you agreed to upon booking. All tickets for this event will be automatically transferred over to the new date, on which the promoters believe will be a more enjoyable and safer experience for all. Whilst this may not be the news you were hoping for, the key thing to remember is that your current tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date and you do not need to do anything.
We understand that the rescheduled date, when confirmed, might not be one that is suitable for all ticket holders. We will offer a credit note to match the value of your order, for you to use at any of the events on our website, please note that the credit note will not have an expiry date so you will be able to use it when you feel safe. You can use the credit note at the original venue of choice, or one of the number of venues we work with to host events around the country. We can guide you on alternative event dates and locations at a later time if this is something you need.
We apologise if this is not the outcome you were hoping for. If you are still not happy with the options that are available to you…
You can attend the rescheduled date (This event has been rescheduled due to COVID-19 which is a Pandemic). Please refer to section 46 of our Terms and Conditions.
2 - Accept a credit note to match the value of your order that can be used at any time in the future.
You could raise a dispute with Paypal who are the payment processor for your transaction and failing that you could contact your bank. However we are aware that in previous cases these methods have been unsuccessful as our terms and conditions are laid out very clearly at the time of transaction.
you would like to attend the rescheduled date, please do not reply to this email. Alternatively, if you would like to proceed with the credit note option, please reply to this email to make us aware of this
What can I do to get refund?

This looks like a scam or at best a very clever payment fraud to me. I have referred to Trading Standards as it is impossible to get a refund from them or the usual sources but ultimately it looks like Small Claims Court. Here's my experience so far.I paid by Credit Card so had assumed that I could either claim a charge back or a Consumer Credit Act refund. They have been quite clever, possibly acting illegally, by making it look like payment is being processed on their website. However, they are using PayPal as a payment provider / intermediary without informing anyone. It doesn't register on your PayPal account as they are just using the payment processing for credit/debit cards so you cannot open a dispute with PayPal. As they have deliberately written out to bookings over 180 days after the original payment this stops you being able to claim a chargeback through PayPal - even getting PayPal to put you through to a person and find the transaction is an absolute slog - you have to constantly refer to the fact that this is not on your PayPal account, they are just being used as a transaction provider. Asking for the complaints dept doesn't help as they send you a link which is impossible to use without going round in circles as none of the options apply. So you may think the easy option is to claim a Consumer Credit Act refund from your bank/credit card provider (IF you paid by credit card). However, as the payment is via PayPal they will say that they have no direct relationship with the seller and in any case each ticket is below the £100 amount usually specified as a minimum for the act to apply. That leaves you with Trading Standards which in itself is inundated with other scams and refers you to Citizen's Advice initially. I can't see it being very effective.I think your only option is Small Claims Court. But if enough people log their dissatisfaction here, maybe Watchdog, Which? or MSE will take up the case?1

I too have been refused a refund for 4 tickets totalling £198 even though i will be out of the country for the rescheduled date. Their credit note offered is of no use to me as the event booked was 'comedy in the park' at Templenewsham Leeds and all other events on their website are miles away down south and of no interest to me rendering the credit note worthless. They have not replied to my email which i sent advising of this and giving them a last chance to refund me. To me it's straight forward in their email that they cancelled the event because they had not taken out appropriate insurance (Is it even legal to do that?). They are claiming 'force majeure' as a reason to refuse refunds but as they sold the tickets in October 2020 in the middle of a covid pandemic I don't see how they can get away with that. Also the event they cancelled was for the end of July and outdoors so it could have potentially gone ahead. I also asked them for proof we were made aware that they had no covid cancellation insurance at time of purchase but have had no reply. Credit card companies appear to be dodging their responsibility as mine have said there is nothing they can do because Easy Ticketing are offering a rescheduled date or credit note even though i explained that neither options were of any use or value to me. Please Martin Lewis help us to take on this company.0

Small claims court is the way to take them on. It's already available as a route, no need to wait for a campaign.Comeoneileen said:I too have been refused a refund for 4 tickets totalling £198 even though i will be out of the country for the rescheduled date. Same issues as above. Can't do the new dates in 2022 (changed from a Saturday to a Friday - for an all day event !). Section 75 - no go for reasons outlined above 'no direct relationship...' due to transacting through PayPal.
Even my MP still waiting for a response !
Small Claims Court it is.0 -
I'm having the same issue paid £350 for 7 NHS Midwives to attend an event that has now been cancelled & rescheduled for next June when none of us can attend due to other commitments - basically saying you can't have a refund just a credit note.....it's so frustrating - even managed to get refund from Ryan air !!!! This can't be legal I suspect they are hoping people will just give up. I will try the small claims court & my credit card company......0

I have just checked the registered address on the website and it is registered to an insolvency practitioner. That cannot be good news...

Looking at companies house records there was a change of directors back in May, I assume this was the insolvency practitioner being appointed.0

My family & I have tickets to 2 events at Wicksteeds park, for which we cannot attend and again been told there are no refunds.
Looking on Trustpilot there are many, many complaints. It would even appear to be a scam.
This really needs looking into.0 -
You may not be entitled to a refund if you cannot attend for your own reasons, rather than the company's.jem2304 said:My family & I have tickets to 2 events at Wicksteeds park, for which we cannot attend and again been told there are no refunds.
