  • But she made her choice and it was the bit of rough staffy that she liked.

The breed is not responsible for the actions of one dog.

You sound like you are annoyed with the kennel but more disgusted at the fact that it was a staffy.

In the first couple of pages you said twice you had no intention of breeding from her and she was due to be spayed in August and also that you would rehome the pups at no cost to the new owners.

Since the pups have been born this has changed to 'we hadn't had her spayed because we might have wanted to breed from her with another Pedigree lab' and that you have sold the pups.

If you do take legal action of any sort it will probably be important to be consistent.

    Absolutely!

I don't think the OP has grasped that any legal action, even assuming it is successful, is unlikely to yield more than their unavoidable expenses.

The OP has not responded to my earlier post about how the sale price of the puppies relates to the costs they have incurred.

I suspec from some of their other comments they are looking to "punish" the kennels. That is not what the civil courts are for.

  • Ok my wife wanted pups from her but I did not ,the decision was taken away from us by lack of care in the kennel.
Yes I do feel as though the kennel should be punished as they have caused a lot of stress to us as a couple.
Our summer has been ruined we lost a holiday ,my wife has worked all through the pandemic ( health care) and was in real need of a holiday. She has taken time off work for vets etc so lost days holidays.
Yes we have sold the pups so you think that's ok we get some money and the kennel gets away Scot free ?
  • So you have benefited financially from an accident ?

You would have bred her with a pedigree dog so you made more money ?

I can see a financial theme to this ..
  • Also It would be interesting to see the OP's wifes side of this as there seems to be three sides to this story.

What I think is completely irrelevant.

I am just telling you my understanding of the law. The civil courts are there to compensate you for any financial loss resulting from another party's negligence or wrong doing.

They are not there to "punish" them by taking money beyond that from them and handing it to you.

I note you are still avoiding saying if you are actually out of pocket or not.

Probably not when you look at the costs of dogs now.

My current pup was cheap in comparison to some pups but that was because he was the runt and no one wanted him.

I am not avoiding anything we won't be out of pocket when they have gone . Emotionally wise we are shattered but that's fine by you isn't it !
You obviously have never looked after 8 pups .
