Breakdown cover on Nationwide FlexPlus account - only covered if an account holder is in the vehicle

Any car covered by the policy does have to be registered. From the first page of this thread (in the second reply):born_again said:

People seem to be confused thinking they have to register a car with Nationwide, when in fact that clause simply means that the Vehicle Registration Document must have the account holder's name on it...
Banks do not provide any cover, it is all done by the 3rd party listed in the paperwork Liverpool Victoria Insurance Company Limited, in this case.
"For your vehicle and any that you’re travelling in. With no excess to pay and unlimited callouts. Vehicles need to be registered in the UK, taxed and serviced, and have a valid MOT."
The registration is with the DVLA, not an insurance provider.2
