"You do not need to call to register your cover or vehicle as cover begins immediately upon opening your NationwideFlexPlus current account."So what happens if - as in the OP's case - you have multiple vehicles registered in your name?Who decides which vehicle is being covered ?

The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

They seem nonplussed that another car being driven by someone else isn’t also covered, but it seems pretty reasonable that it isn’t.0 -

I'm afraid you're wrong here. It does NOT say in the T&Cs that an account holder MUST always be in the car at the time of the breakdown.
There are two distinct cases:
1 "FlexPlus current account holders are covered in any vehicle whether as a driver or a passenger."
2 "It also provides cover for one vehicle registered to the Nationwide FlexPlus current account holder and being used with their permission."
An account holder must be in the car at the breakdown for case1 but NOT for case 2. If that were not so, there would be no case 2 that was distinct from case 1. There would be no need to mention anything about vehicles beyond the requirement that an account holder must be in the vehicle whether as driver or passenger. Case 2 does require something specific about the vehicle - that it is registered to the Nationwide Flexplus current account holder.
For case 2, the driver does not have to be an account holder. Where do you get the idea that they have to be? It's certainly not from these T&Cs.

On a practical level having used this service, to actually call out the breakdown cover you need the card details when you phone up so you would have to give the additional driver those details which seems unlikely or have you make the call on their behalf which may be impractical. I also recall them saying over the phone that the recovery driver would check our card to confirm entitlement - they didn't and t&cs would suggest it might not be a requirement but the driver won't necessarily know that if they were a stickler for details. If there is a car registration system to sidestep these issues we've not been made aware of it as account holders.1

Op needs family member to sign up at quidco fast.
They have a £30 bonus on car breakdown cover.
Just done Green flag "Recover Plus" £38.08. You get £10 cashback on that. Add in the £30 bonus & I'm actually being paid to take it out 😁Life in the slow lane0 -
On the nationwide website it says;
- Your vehicle is covered even if you’re not driving
As long as the driver has your permission and is legally allowed to drive.
3 - Your vehicle is covered even if you’re not driving

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.2 - Your vehicle is covered even if you’re not driving
