Toilet hygiene

As a child our toilet didn't have a lid and sometimes didn't have a separate seat either so no problem with seat up ot seat down.
Funny how we all survived unscathed.2 -
When you go abroad you sometimess find loos that don't even have a a seat, let alone a lid. Moreover, in some places there is no pedestal - just a hole in the floor. For thousands of years the human race managed without loos and, although none of us would wish to go back to those days, do we need to "Get a life" as they say in modern parlance?1

Why so many public loos with auto flushes flush several times when doing your business? Then when you need it flushing, wave hand over the panel and it never flushes?0 -

Oh, and I'm ALWAYS a lid down person, whether at home or away. Anything else is just not on. And as for public toilets *shudder* - I'd rather go behind a tree. .2 -

Do you want the majority of TV programs banned?
Back on topic ,- the lavatories fitted with vacuum flush won't work at all if the lid is left up.0
