Waseem - we have had the same email I think.Gavin - thanks for that I have just text them. They came back with a number which is almost 5 x my monthly payment (I have 5 months approx left). So I am unsure what this means . I may see if they have live talk to I have it in writing!0

I don't use 25gb at home so not bothered.Common sense says you shouldn't be streaming Netflix etc on holiday anyway. If you want to then get a local SIM card on arrival25GB seems fine, but this is clearly a race to the bottom. Today it's 25, then it's 10, then it's 5 then it's 1. Of course, this is speculation, and I have no facts to back it up, but I've been around long enough to know how business works. And who gets a local sim card on arrival? I have never heard of anyone doing this.0 -
I'd be concerned if I felt the need to stream 25gb of films on holiday . You've obviously chosen the wrong holiday !
Then again most destinations I've been to have all had WiFi , even round the poolEx forum ambassador

Many people do. I buy sim cards in just about any country I plan to spend more than around 2 weeks in if it's not covered by a roaming plan. I agree in this scenario, where your UK sim works perfectly fine, it would be absurd to do so though.hojkoff said:Browntoa said:

I can see a problem coming up. Now the EU networks are no longer bound by the EU roaming regs where the UK is concerned they'll start to restrict bandwidth and log out roamers that use a lot of airtime over a short time.

I spoke to O2 chat and they confirmed that I can leave penalty free despite being in month 6 of 24 months pay monthly contract and I also get to keep the phone. They did told me that they will generate a final bill which will initially have the remaining contract amount (£490) but I need to call their helpline and mention that I exercised the option given to be to leave penalty free and they will waive off all the charges. I obviously don’t have that in writing and forgot to take the screenshots of the chat but I will speak with their helpline to confirm before I initiate the PAC code process.I just don’t get the business sense of changing their terms and I can understand they had to offer the penalty free contract termination due to Offcom rules but the amount of money they will lose on people using that option will probably be more than what they would had to pay to not change the contract terms.1

I suspect you and I have very different ideas on what constitutes the "right" holiday!Browntoa said:I'd be concerned if I felt the need to stream 25gb of films on holiday . You've obviously chosen the wrong holiday !

I know people like leaving early and not for the reason they usually use, but who else will you go with? Three is 12GB, Vodafone is 25GB, EE is currently 50GB. What sort of limit do you need when roaming?0

Me , goes on holiday , sunbathing during the day , eats out in the evening , has a drink . Doesn't feel the need to stream Netflix or instagram every second of the day.callum9999 said:
