mikejay said:How the hell can I get this fixed this is getting stupid now all because I gave the meter total to Eon this is BG reply now.Do you have a formal complaint in place with EON? I see @E.ON_Company_Representative:_Helena recommended you do so but I don't know if you managed to? If not, file one now.I'd suggest using email, rather than telephone, as that way you can set your case out in your own time. Make sure it says "COMPLAINT" at the start. If you want belt-and-braces also print the email and post it with Proof of Posting (or Recorded Delivery).N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. I told Eon i wanted to make a complaint when @E.ON_Company_Representative:_Helena told me to I got a snotty reply back
"" Hi Mike, I'd be happy to record a complaint for you if you confirm in your own words that you want us to do so; rather than you're just just asking us to because it's been suggested to you."" I then told them my complaint and got this back
""Thanks for your reads Mike I will submit these on your account to resolve this issue and I have also put your pictures on the account also. I have called our ARD team to cancel the ARD and update your metering info, please allow anything up to 10 working days for this to happen. Thanks for your patience Sat""
Most of my communication has been via facebook messenger and the online chat system on there site so i have records I have rang eon once who kept me for an hour and never got anywhere. I can't get an email address for any of them which is why I use messenger so i have proof of what has been said.
BG just got back to me and said this so it looks like it is still E.on causing the issue
""If EON have the incorrect meter read then it would need to be discussed with them. We have had contact with them on 09.07.21 confirming the read. Again, if we change our final read then that read will be passed to EON to amend their start read but because there has been a dispute they may reject that. The responsibility of the readings is with the new provider, we cannot simply change our final read and remove the balance without their corroboration.""

BG can't do anything about your bill, the onus is on the gaining supplier to resolve any issues. If you have a complaint with E.ON they will deal with it through their process. If they don't resolve it within 8(?) weeks you can then go to the Energy Ombudsman:N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

Are E,on really this thick?@E.ON_Company_Representative:_Helena This is their latest answer i was told on 30th June the ard had been cancelled by Eon but yet BG got the ard request on 9th July?
""Hi Mike, I can see my colleague did say they would cancel the ARD so I am not too sure what happened there. My only thought is that BG responded to the ARD before the cancellation went through. They should have re-billed your account as changing your opening reading with us means they also have to change your closing reading. "The responsibility of the readings is with the new provider, we cannot simply change our final read and remove the balance without their corroboration" - What they mean here is that if you want to change the opening/closing reading then we will need to raise an ARD which we have already done. The reading we have now agreed on is 20766, BG should be using this as your closing reading and we have it as your opening reading. Are you happy with this reading?Steve
So My reply to this along with pictures of the meter today is.
No I am not happy the original reading BG had was correct this all got messed up because I gave you the meter total as my first read. And you are unwilling to correct it by deducting the 3348kw from the reading. I have proof that the reading would have been correct from BG @19992 because as you can see from my pic taken on the 18th of march of the meter total minus the 3348 is only 20007. my rate 1 reading today is 21435 and rate 2 that is not in use is still 3348 I have just took these pictures of my readings. All you had to do was ignore my mistake and get the actual reading from rate 1. We did not need an ard and now having bills from british gas.

At last I got them to sort it after they took £371 from my account they have agreed and reduced my direct debit and used my rate 1 reading.3

Likewise very glad it was sorted. We're on page 11 now so it took a bit of effort! Thanks for posting about the outcome.Reed1
