Good evening!
Thanks Valli and Natty for the lists.
Busy weekend here! I spent a few hours on Saturday at the allotment clearing a patch of weeds and planting some tomatoes. Lots of strawberries picked! Came back & showered as I was very muddy! Then DD1 turned up out of the blue! The kids had arranged it as a surprise for father's day, and also DHs birthday next week and mine the week after! It was lovely to have all 3 of my babies here 🥰 We went out dinner. The kids then said that they had arranged to take us out for lunch the following day (Sunday). Twice in one weekend!! 😁
This morning DH isn't feeling very well. He has spent most of the day sleeping.
Meanwhile I have done 2 loads of washing, been to town to buy him some bits for his birthday, some bits from Mr W & a food shop from Mr S. Came home, emptied DW, had lunch, put away the shopping. Then picked up DD2 from work, loaded the car up & dropped her at BFs so they could pick up the keys to their flat!
Their excitement was dampened by the grime that had been left. The kitchen is grim! DD2 was overwhelmed. I rolled up my sleeves and set about cleaning. Even DS helped! BFs mum & sister cleaned the bathroom.
The cooker is gross! It is an old gas cooker, and we are not even sure if it is safe! The BFs dad is sending someone round to disconnect it & take it away. He is sending someone else round with a fridge! He owns a building firm and said that they have skipped much better cookers from jobs, so I think he will keep a lookout for one. I have ordered a combi microwave as a house warming - I will collect it tomorrow. They are sleeping there tonight, but DD2 has said it will be like camping!
I am shattered now, so I think I ought to get some shut eye.
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them, and GWS vibes to poorlies.
Night night all! 😘

Morning All,
It took me ages to get to sleep last night, it was gone 1am when I last checked the time, and the chickens woke me at 5am fussing for breakfast - oh well, I can have a nap later if needs be.
So far I have made my bed, slurped a cuppa, unloaded the DW and set the WM going. Oh, and dragged the black bin back in which was emptied bang on 7am as usual.
I have been writing myself small lists each day, even with simple things on such as "make bed" - it is really boosting my mental wellbeing ticking things off and feeling I have achieved something no matter how small. The children have their much-loved swimming lessons after school so it will be a late-ish dinner for them - must organise something quick and easy.
YL - I am so glad she loved it. As for that woman at your work - the frame of mind I'm in I'd've probably given her both barrels.
Right, DS is up, dressed and fed, DD still asleep - need to rectify that... have lovely days all xx10 -
Morning, just a quick wave from me today as am at work all day and need to shop this evening but I think I'll just go locally.
TD on
DW on
Bed made clothes picked up
Need to find an extra big SMILE today as didn't sleep enough last night due to big storms all night. I get grumpy when I'm tired.12 -
Morning all. I woke up with cramp at 4.30 but managed to get back to sleep again.
Have checked finances, dealt with DSiL's birthday present (i.e. transferred money to DD so that she can order it, as I refuse to use the Bay of E) and posted holiday snaps on WApp for the family to see laugh at.
I plan to do all the list today, including removing a pile of dead woodlice from a corner of the workmen's loo - the only place in the house where we get them! - but it shouldn't take long. I also have cards to send, financial records to update and meeting papers to print out.
DH is off to SW shortly, hoping for a good result this week. I know I've lost a couple of pounds already since getting back on track.
Hope everyone has a good day xx10 -
Morning all,
Thank you for the lists. I didn’t post yesterday as it was definitely a no fly zone here, and a full day at paid stuff for once - no appointment juggling for a rare day. I was on WAC sentry duty again last night, and funnily enough also had leg cramp in the night, probably as it was so cold.
Today I will be off list, starting to clean up after the plasterer finished yesterday evening. As it was the small bedroom and the landing, the dust is everywhere. I also have to make a couple of cakes for tomorrow’s cake sale, and I have just spotted the prepped rhubarb for jam which I had forgotten needed doing. It’s highly likely that not everything will get done.So far, I have dropped my car off for its MOT and service, put a load in the wm, and am just having my 2nd cuppa before I start. Mustn’t forget to factor in picking the car up again later.
Hugs to all, and sticks being thrown for the pack of black dogs that seem to be dancing around xx10 -

Your OH is doing really well, kaz - standing up *and* ironing
Wish mine could multitask like that!
Fayolle, is there room for the raw prepped rhubarb in your freezer?
Went slightly off piste, and it took me longer than I had allowed for.
However...
I have cleaned the workmen's loo thoroughly, chasing woodlice and spiders back into their hidey holes. I tried to remove the light shade to de-fly it, but I can't lift my right arm above shoulder height, so it was impossible. I gave DH some unexpected exercise by pressing him into action instead and it is done.
DH's turn for fresh bedding had come round, so I decided to give his bedroom a good clean in addition to his ensuite - even moving the bedside cabinet far enough to dust the skirting behind. One load of washing is hanging out on the whirligig and the rest is still twirling.
I only S&S'd the main bathroom, but it can wait until the bedrooms come up on the list (when I shall heave the bagless thingy upstairs). I did manage to FUPA most of yesterday's clean washing, just leaving a couple of thicker tops to air some more.
Back to admin. How much can I achieve in the hour before lunch?

Landing window cleaned, ditto all door handles and the bannister. Hall floor washed as that was the only way to lift the dust. Vacuum cleaner disassembled, filters changed, bits washed and drying. Shopping slot booked for Saturday evening, although now I can’t remember why I thought I needed it.
Quick leftover lunch, then I really must bake cakes.
The festival which has been DD’s point to aim for all during this horrible year has just been cancelled. *sigh*
Round - are you ok, my lovely? I hope you got an answer from the consultant’s secretary xx10
