Morning All,
Thank you for the lists, I am very much in. So far today I have:
- Sent my sick note for a further two weeks to the powers that be at work
- Deposited the children at school
- Cleaned out one of the chicken coops
- Arranged an egg sale with one of the school mums
- Done x1 WM and hung it on the line
- Dug out some paperwork relating to a savings account that "matures" in July (that makes it sound like there's loads in it, there really isn't, but rather in my pocket than theirs)
- Poo picked
I need to list a few things for sale online and may then have a cuppa. But then I will want cake, and slinky just isn't happening ATM.... but am I really in the frame of mind of caring at the moment??
Hugs to all especially you Round, let us know when she calls you back xx11 -
Well done round, asb, HB, Mademoiselle and Badcat.
Go for it, dancemum, pigpen (leg permitting), kazwookie and anyone else who's lurking.
Late last night - because I didn't want to go to bed at that moment but hadn't got anything better to do - I was watching one of the Dana K White videos (thank you HB), in which she was talking about "Better is good". Basically, we won't get our houses looking perfect in no time at all, but every little thing that we can do makes it better. As a result, I looked round the study and threw 3 random pieces of paper into the bin. Voilà - better already!
This morning I slept in until 7.45 and have found some energy from somewhere, so I have managed to do most of levels 1, 2 and 3, and my kitchen is now tidy and sweet-smelling. I even emptied and cleaned out all four drawers and put more things out for the CS - must remember to book another donation appointment for about 4 weeks' time. And I ran the bagless thingy over the, kitchen, hall, LR and study to remove Rosie's multiple kind gifts of fluff. I have delegated steam mopping the kitchen and coffee making to DH, who is in a helpful mood today
Our black bin and recycling day is Tuesday, so I'll leave the bins until tomorrow, or I shall be adding to the planet's problems by using an extra bin liner - and I really can't manage to clean the kitchen windows on top of all I've done already ... maybe later.
Shower next, then I shall sit down to tackle admin jobs galore.
Hope nobody is too hot/cold/wet today xxx

Round 1 is done and I've also pegged out the towels / tea towels, brought in the airer because it kept blowing over, WUDUPA pans, refilled the bowl with pots, decanted bird seed into container, and put milk in the cupboard- cardboard box to be recycled.
Sweetie is being very fussy. Bless him xx

I just watched 'Better is Good' by Dana K White. She made me laugh out loud when she spilled. I'm going to watch more - thank you for the recommendation.

Long chat with a neighbour, but she needed to talk to me and hopefully feels a little bit better now. Lunch sorted and eaten with OH who has now gone back to work.
Now going to watch Dana K White with coffee and icecream (I'm clearing out the freezer)10 -

The heartening thing about Dana K White is exactly that idea of Better is Good Enough for most of us for most of the time. i simply can't cope in chaos but I don't care enough I'm not house-proud enough to want to carry on once I've got rid of the dirt. Today I am already too tired after scrubbing the really bad top section of the path (and too tired to do the rest of it, as well) to even think about vacuuming. Which the house needs because the kittens traipse the wood-shavings from their litter tray along the corridor, up the stairs and then across the front lobby, If I get to it before it reaches the stairs then all is ticketty boo, but I haven't for a week, so .... Layla doesn't help because she's always hoping to find dog chocolate in the litter tray and snuffles through the shavings looking for it just in case I've left some there by mistake, and tracks all the shavings out on her ears. She enjoys shaking everywhere in the house so ....I'm not sure the bread I'd hoped to have ready for lunch is going to rise or even be edible when baked, so that's a disappointment. I know why now, but I didn't an hour or so ago so I've learned something. Belovéd isn't playing tennis because of the rain, so he can get today's exercise by visiting the Co-op at the end of the road.Better is good enough.10

Done some Admin stuff- filing and shredding as appropriate.
Eaten beans on toast for lunch as per meal plan 🙂. Jacket spuds for tea- and I'll shop from my list at Mr C this evening when I know the consultant's secretary will have gone home for the day...because it is the Law of Sod that if I go now she will ring somewhere between bread and crisps!
If she does not ring back today I will ring again in the morning.
Think I'll bring in the washing now- very overcast here.
