    Morning,

Weirdest day ever yesterday. Went for my waxing appointment and just didn’t put much effort into getting dressed so had on no bra, vest top with a long shirt and leggings and trainers. On the way back I visited my parents and my sister was there. There was some event on at the local rugby club where my nephew goes and my sister asked me to go for an hour with her and the children. We got there just after 1pm and I got home at 8pm last night. The kids had a ball just playing and we sat out in the sun. It ended up expensive as we were buying drinks all day and food and then we ended up having a takeaway. Very impromptu day but lovely anyway. X

Those kind of days make such fabulous memories. They make me feel like an adult too, instead of just the housemaid/cook/babysitter etc. Worth a bit of a spend I think.

Completely agree, I forgot about the washing and cleaning and going back to work. It was just so nice to go out and relax. I was driving so had a lovely shandy and then drank 7up. DD loved it as did my nephew x

DD has had the day with her dad. She has had a nice day out and I managed to get out on my bike. I turned up at my parents on it. They haven’t seen me ride yet so that was different for them. I did text when I was home so they knew I was safe!

Spent the afternoon watching my nephew play rugby. He’s a really good player. One of the opposing team coaches was shouting him at the end. It was weird  because he didn’t know him but was shouting his name. He must have heard our coaches shouting to him but he went over and said how good his passing was for his age and what a good player he was. It was great for him to hear that and he was made up. He’s 9 so things like that are lovely. My parents and sister were there so had a chat with them all and then came home for DD coming back, also saw some old friends and a pro rugby player handed out their medals for them.

Currently in the garden with the sun on my face relaxing. I’ve been texting my friend today so feeling quite content. Nice when we have time to talk.

Have a lovely evening and enjoy bank holiday Monday x

    Morning,

Sat in the garden with a cup of tea watching the day start. The rabbits are frolicking around and a huge load of geese have just gone over in formation. I wonder if they’re starting their migration. It was lovely to watch anyway.

Load of washing in, dishwasher empty (although weirdly the dishwasher fuse switch was off this morning when I put it on last night. All the pots have been cleaned, but it’s not actually switched on) I know I put it on last night as it was full. I know the pots are clean, but it’s also switched off at the switch)

I’m getting used to the garden now without the swing. It doesn’t feel as big anymore.

Not sure what the plans are for the day. I will be doing something, just not sure what yet.

have a lovely bank holiday everyone x

  • Have just caught up with your diary.

Great that you enjoyed the glass workshop, look forward to seeing your photos. Your unplanned day out sounded ideal .
Are you back at work this week or next ? Still full time or back at part time.
Riding your bike , reminds me of my youth when I used to sit on the back of my cousins bikes going down to Bakewell in Derbyshire .
There are clubs you can join aren't there , how would you feel about joining one ?
    Have a good bank holiday.

    Hi, hope you are ok?

I have another week to go yet so this time next week for me to go back.

I would be happy to join a club but I just can’t commit to a time at all because of DD. They usually have set nights and I can’t do anything set with childcare. Maybe in a few years time I can. I’d absolute join one.

You have a lovely bank holiday too x

    Peeling foot update:

Still no peeling. Told my Mum about it who said she had this foot device. She brings out a cheese grater style thing. It works great until my toe gets in the way and now I’m covered in plasters! 😂 think I should leave cheese grating my feet to the professionals! X
I once won one of them, or something similar to what you mentioned.  It was the 'big' thing at the time often advertised on TV.  It was called a Pedi something or other.  I didn't get on too well with itsob and passed it on to a friend who still uses it and thinks it's brilliantrotf

I know which one you mean. She’s had that one too but this was actually like a hand held cheese grater in looks and ability. I’m sure someone just cleverly marketed a whole load of unwanted cheese graters.

My parents are always watching Tv and buying things on a whim after watching how amazing they are 🤦🏼‍♀️
