    Well done 👏 👏
  • Thank you both.

It’s been okay this month to manage. I’ve paid off all my bits from the sofa so I have zero credit outstanding on anything.

My loan had an extra £500 paid off it. I need some fuel today but I’m just going to put £20 in it so I stay out of my overdraft in both accounts.

I have £40 tracked cash back.
£25 voucher due- this is my treats money so I get something for me and DD every month.

I’ve visited the shops for groceries twice this month. Back to doing click and collect next week now. I always spend more in the shops. I was at £30 yesterday. Not masses of more money but a little more than I wanted.

DD needs some clothes this month too. That will be part covered by the voucher as well.

This month they’ll be no extra debt paying, just pure and simple savings now.

Sorry to hear you've been injured again at work.  It sounds like teaching is a dangerous profession!  If it was an occupational accident can you claim compensation?  I know with things at work being a bit tense at the moment because of reorganisation and job losses you might not want to 'rock the boat' but if doing your legitimate work is causing repeated injuries it needs investigation.  Just a thought.

Well done on the financial situation.  Take care xxx

It’s hard to explain and there’s lots going on in the background right now.

Hopefully it’ll resolve soon but I suspect I’m in for a long ride. The nature of my role always puts me at more risk than in a normal school.

Finances will hopefully stay good. I just need fuel and my accounts can manage that. Roll on Tuesday x

  • Sorry to hear you have been injured again. Hope things resolve themselves soon. Well done on staying out of the OD.
Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.

  • Thanks Sunshine,

    Happy Valentines for yesterday everyone.

I don't see it getting much better at the minute however, time will tell.
I was sent home yesterday to self isolate so this week I will have some fuel saving going on as I am not travelling to and from work. Next week is half term as well so some fuel saving there as well. Probably around £50 in total. I do have plans for next week with DD though and most of this money will be on this.

£25 voucher confirmed and I bought the bits I needed to buy. Bought DD something as well and got her some birthday bits as well as that is coming up soon. I had a £17 voucher for a website too so got her some items with that for her birthday.

£40 cashback was confirmed much earlier than expected. In total it came in at £37 as there is an annual fee. That is another bit of money added to my account and will just got on DD's birthday present. I still have some items listed so hopefully that will sell as well.

I have saved money on childcare too as she was ill one of the days so that is another £20 not paid out. Next week will take up all this extra money though with it being half term! I do need to save up in case my job goes in September so not going to overpay but I am going to put the money to one side. I can always pay it off should the money come through.

I have had some bathroom stuff in the garage for ages as well and my friend saw them and asked if he could buy them. That is some extra money as well now as it was just sat there and he wants to take it. We've agreed a price so it's just a case of sorting it now.

I got some free coffee as well today. Not sure why but I am not going to question it. I am going to reduce all of my bills as much as possible over the next few months so this is going to help a lot.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. x

  • Morning,

Most major bills are out now. Around £500 left to come out. I’m going to put some money aside and hope that I don’t have to dip into it. I know I have a birthday but I’ve also got reduced fuel too and some savings elsewhere.

I’ve switched my bank again so waiting now for £150 cash back.
