I can't see what improvements have been made, just more clicking again to get to posts. A couple of things that were complained about last time, no description of post when hovering mouse over title, having to click on a thread, being taken to 1st post then having to click on last page to read latest entry, then clicking on the back button several times to get back to main forum, now if that had been addressed that would have been some improvement. All other forums have this facility, plus forum loading is still a lot slower, Windows 10, Edge, than it used to be.0

We'd rather people don't alter the display of the Forum as this can mean people miss important messages and could risk security when using the Forum.
The left hand-side is now the main way to navigate the Forum.
If you have any specific feedback about what you'd like to see (or not see) please use the feedback form.
Thanks,
Ben
Have people complained about being unable to navigate the forum?
It is a huge waste of space for most people: they head into a sub-forum to read topics, and can now see far less than they could yesterday.I”d rather you gave the option to completely hide it, like many GUI-based systems do. Pop it out if you hover or click somewhere. Don’t force it on everyone.I’ve provided feedback, but this seems a crazy waste of screen space to me.
Have a quick read of our post above. Lots of people are telling us about the wasted space and we're already speaking to our developers in Canada to get it sorted. Bear with us.6 -

Edit: I've completed the feedback form to confirm my comments about the poor UI design.Jenni x0 -
On the old forum, on the list of boards, it was possible to see the last post on each individual board which meant I could easily check to see whether there were any new posts without having to click through to the actual board. Now when I go to 'All boards' many of the boards I looked at (e.g. student money saving, food shopping and groceries) have become tiny little 'sub-boards' and the latest post shown now applies to the board as a whole (e.g. 'money saving' or 'shopping and freebies'). Now I have to go to each individual board to find out if there are new posts. There is so much more clicking about on this new forum!!!6

...Screaming out at us from the feedback are a few issues...- It looks like we all need to go to Specsavers because the font's a bit too small...
@MSE_Laura_F
I realise that you may have meant the above sentence in jest, but please be sensitive to what an unnecessary throw away comment like that means to those of us whose sight issues cannot be rectified by "going to Specsavers".4 -

If it's the Health & Beauty Moneysaving board you're looking for, you can find this under Spending & Discounts. Hope that helps!
Many thanks,

You're absolutely right. I didn't mean to cause any offence. Lesson learned! 👍
Would you like me to edit the original post? I'd be more than happy to.
Best wishes,

Why mess? it was doing just fine.
And please put pensions back with savings and investments not half way down the page.
Give me back the old green screen that was calm and easy to read.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.2 -

You can see this behaviour by using a normal browser window on a computer and slowly dragging the window narrower.
For some reason it's interpreting it as mobile-friendly format being required - perhaps because it's an ipad.4
