Well done for not having the takeaway. I hope the little person continues to improve - my 16 year old has tonsilitis but is mostly past the point of keeping me awake at night unless it;s for something serious. I do remember those nights very well though. Good luck with catching up on your sleep throughout this week and it's fabulous that you didn't let the small problems derail your ultimate goal.1

Good morning, I hope you got some restful uninterrupted sleep last night 🤞
Lack of sleep derails me completely, especially with eating, I would've definitely had that takeaway.
This month was a vit wobbly for me too, mostly because of the auction, now I feel responsible for your wobble. 😬 Did you get something nice, was it a good bargain? Let's start fresh this payday, mine's on Monday and I can't wait.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Tuesday is a new day!
I have got a little of my mojo back and feeling less sleep deprived than i was.
That said, im not sure how! I popped out for a drink (or 2) with a friend last night so got home at 11:30 then my daughter was on and off from 2:30 coughing so not very restful sleep.
Poo thing then coughed so much around 4:30am that she was sick and it was a whole bedding/clothes change job before getting another hours sleep!
But i dont feel as drained as i did so maybe it wasnt just lack of sleep. Anyway back to it now.
@jokono you are in no way responsible at all. I just ended up buying things for myself/home which wasnt the plan so around £300 later i scoured their T&Cs and cancelled my invoice. I will be much more controlled if i ever do it again. How are you getting on with your thing? Actually scrap that ill pop by your diary later and check in.
@CRANKY40 Thank you. Shes not far off, just now expelling said germs all over the place so maybe her Dad and i will get sick next (again!) Shes a trooper though, shes still mostly smiley with it all. Sorry to hear about your Teen, hopefully on the mend soon!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Having re-found my MSingness, jobs done:
I dealt with the banking this morning. It was a messy old job because id used pots rather than using the main account and transferring across and still got approx £10 unaccounted for however i think its food related items.
Pot is what is slightly short but it was extra anyway so im not worried (its wooden dollars i suppose anyway)
Remapped out Julys Cashflow statement, on account of hub just securing a new job and moving part way through the month from weekly to monthly pay. Considering i have squandered away birthday spends for little ones 1st birthday, a few pots (christmas, outtings, garden etc) i think we're looking okay. Ive also increased the grocery budget, we are literally down to odds and sods having cleared out the cupboards and defrosted the freezer so need to replen!
Called to price up garden fencing - was surprised to hear the current posts we have can be used still despite being different and very old school so i was quite pleased with that. Should save about £45! Awaiting a full quotation!
Off to do some work now, might be back later to update!

Were you able to cancel with no fees? I bid on a box of clothes that I thougth was in the same 'room' as my other bids but wasn't so I had to pay transport for it which was slightly more than the actual box. Luckily it had a few good items in which sold already and covered the full cost, but they wouldn't cancel it for free.
I'm now at 48%, 53% if I don't include the sofa, so yeah, I spent more than £300 and the sofa was a very small part of it
Great to hear you're feeling better despite the lack of sleep, and well done on all your jobs today! We need to do our fence, part of it it's propped up after the last storm. There's a shed on the other side so not massively urgent but needs sorting this summer.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

@jokono I did cancel without fees but I think it was because I did it even before my invoice was issued.I’m sorry they wouldn’t do anything with yours, was there a public auction? Or just view online? The fence isn’t in the worst ever condition that we can’t cope but it’s a picket fence and the nettles grow so badly behind it that I fear the moment my daughter is walking she will be popping her hands through so we need something to prevent that happening. We also back on to an open field so only want a low (but solid) fence so as to not restrict the view.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

No more getting mixed up with what belongs back in the ‘extras’ pot as I’ve used it today rather than waiting till the end of the week for its purpose of paying a chunk off the credit card. I don’t actually know what I was waiting for.. maybe it was just nice seeing it there 😬Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

End of the month is always a drag my payday is not until 30th June a week to go and I have £55 left. So, it should suffice I think for a small weekend shop and no bills to pay for this monthSaving goal for BTL mortgage - 28600 / 60000 ( July 2021) , 37600/60000 (December 2021) , 39300 / 60000 (august 2022) , 41000/60000 ( January 2023)2

Good Afternoon Readers
Its the last day of the week for me as i dont work a Friday anymore but I've had a great morning so far.
I contemplated and enquired the other day, about switching the car benefit i get for my role to a cash equivalent as i was due to reorder as my car was almost 4 years old and thought id do better out of the money (take home and tax wise) since the travel requirements for my role have dramatically reduced (thank goodness!).
However, it would mean that I'd need to purchase a car regardless to carry out the smaller travel requirement i now have and to get me about as i live in a village 8 miles outside of town and unfortunately don't have savings for that type of thing.
This would mean finance (PCP etc) would need to be an option which im reluctant to do. I thought maybe i could get an old car but to still travel for work it has to meet a criteria and an old banger probably wouldn't do this! I've also always loved the fact that everything car cost related is dealt with by my employer even down to breakdown etc as reduces the mental load on me.
So with that in mind, i have researched the tax reduction i would achieve instead by ordering an electric car though work and calculated what id have to square away each month anyway for upkeep, insurance etc for an car if i chose to go with the cash option and instead made the decision to order a new car but of the fully electric type! Now i just need to figure out what that means in reality when driving, charging etc!
I think if the monthly benefit is what i think it is, ill be approx £200 better off... however watch this space!
So I've just been playing 'build a car' which has been nice and can vaguely class a work LOL
ANYWAY!
No spending of actual cash today - lunch and breakfast from home and dinner plans are from the freezer!
Listed a few items for sale, got paid for another and had another conversation about garden fence with supplier so all in all a good and NON SPENDY DAY! Whoo
