Ford Fusion??

Given that the Fusion was just a 'high up Fiesta', the Fiesta Active is obviously the new Fusion.coffee_cake said:I loved my Ford Fusion - I had the "full" automatic version. Comfy, roomy and easy to get in & out off. Great boot space too. Got written off 6 years ago, I still miss it
Had Ford still been making Fusions I would have bought a newer one.0 -
Yes and no. The Fusion had a unique bodyshell, to which was attached lots of Fiesta bits; it was different enough to be considered a model in its own right. The Fiesta Active simply is a Ford Fiesta with a raised ride height and a body kit. One might argue that the 'new Fusion' is the somewhat unpopular Ecosport.BOWFER said:

Undoubtedly one of the ugliest cars on the road.Ditzy_Mitzy said:One might argue that the 'new Fusion' is the somewhat unpopular Ecosport.
it's just wrong on every aesthetic level.0 -
Or, indeed, the Fusion morphed into the B-Max...Ditzy_Mitzy said:

This is just getting confusing now: a hatchback come* estate come SUV crossover has crossed over with a people carrier come medium sized hatchback crossover to create a crossover crossover? It doesn't quite crossover into the right territory, however, as it has crossed too far over from SUV styling and needs to re-crossover over there. It also doesn't crossover with a sports car, which is not crossing over far enough. Perhaps a crossover crossover could crossover with an off road pickup truck crossover, a Ford Mustang and Focus estate crossover, and Donald Trump's combover to create an omnicrossover?GunJack said:

*MSE appear to think that the correct spelling '!!!!!!' is an obscenity so I've had to use the wrong variant of 'come'. Come on!!1 -
I can’t keep track with what cars are what these days. In my day it was Fiesta size, Escort size, Cortina size and if you were doing really well Granada size. Or if you were man about town you’d have a Capri. If you weren’t into cars you’d have Vauxhalls equivalents.1

I don't find identifying cars a problem, it's the sheer size of manufacturer's ranges that gets me.Deleted_User said:I can’t keep track with what cars are what these days. One example, BMW.....who the hell decided that a 4-series was needed?
Ever so slightly bigger than a 3-series, but not as big as a 5-series.
What the flipping heck is that all about?
They're far from the only one, it seems to be the fashion to add cars that are just slightly larger than the one below now, almost imperceptibly so.
Using your terms, like having a car between the Cortina and the Granada.

So when I state "there's nothing wrong with that", where do you get off saying I don't have a very high opinion of their owners?lincroft1710 said:
I was not suggesting your opinion of Fusion owners was incorrect
I don't think your average Fusion owner gives a damn about handling.
If ever there was a car that said "I want to get from A to B and that's all" it's the Fusion.
Nothing wrong with that, of course.
The implication is that Nothing wrong with that, of course refers to the A to B ability rather than the the owner's interest in the car's handling. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

In what way is saying some people merely want an A to B 'machine' being derogatory about them?
