Just make sure you follow a bookmark/shortcut to access any financial web site you use regularly. Never click a link in a mail or text even if it looks like it came from the bank.
The web sites for most banks work really well on a phone, so there's no need for a dedicated app is many cases. Another good piece of advice is to only download banking apps from the official app stores, i.e. Google Play store on Android or the App Store on iPhone. It's a big risk downloading apps from outside these app stores.0
