A big thankyou to OP and a well deserved pat on the back to amazon for honoring the the code.

My jug turned up today as well. It is not a Russell Hobbs, but a Spanish make of some sort. Looks like it only takes special cartridges, not the cheap generic ones you can buy, so will have to shop around for a good deal (RRP is £4.99 each!).
Update:
So far amazon have best deal I can see with 6 x double life cartridges at £21.99 delivered.

With each cartridge lasting 60 days that would be 1 year's supply. Can't see anything cheaper at the moment, so might go for this, unless someone else knows of a better deal!.·:*¨:starmod: ¨*:·. Rubiales.·:*¨ :starmod: ¨*:·.

Yippee, got mine today. Bit of a disapointment though as it doesn't seem to use know cartidges. I suppose it can be just used as a water jug in the summer to keep drinks cold in the fridge!0

Hi. Is yours a Spanish one like mine? If so it probably uses the aqua optima cartridges that the Russell Hobbs jugs and kettles use. You can get them here:

£21.99 delivered for 6 x double life cartridges or instore at Robert Dyas, 6 x standard (30 day) cartridges for £9.99
Hope this helps..·:*¨:starmod: ¨*:·. Rubiales.·:*¨ :starmod: ¨*:·.

Hi Sarah,
Take a look at my earlier post. Cartridges are same for these jugs or Russell Hobbs and available from Amazon UK, Robert Dyas, and, I guess, quite a few other places. Hopefully means we won't have too many problems..·:*¨:starmod: ¨*:·. Rubiales.·:*¨ :starmod: ¨*:·.

for people who have received the jata jug alternative to the russel hobbs has anyone else found that the lid is very loose and does not clip into place -
when i pour the water the lid falls out and for some reason wont clip into place0 -
Mine seems to clip in all right, I can lift the jug off the table by it and it holds (unfilled - dunno if it would do it filled)0
