we got a jata, our lid fits fine but its too big to fit in the fridge however as our kitchen isnt heated the water is fine at the mo. i would never have bought one of these as i think our tap water tastes fine but my son has been nagging for a filter for ages and the kids really like it - they've also been drinking loads of water since it arrived.. so really good as a freebie but i wouldnt have bought one

I can't believe the number of people who are complaining about a freebie!!

If you bought the Mail on Sunday and applied for the jug from the advert, then you've just about got cause for complaint.

However, if you saw the link here from me, the other OP or saw it on HDUK, then you are partially responsible for the offer being oversubscribed and for the substitution of a different jug and you have NO REASON to complain.

    Some people!!

I bet some of you ordered more than one anyway!

Hi there. I got mine on Friday, the Jata one not the Russell Hobbs but it's fine. It took some doing but I've now got a way of fitting it in the fridge so we'll have nice cold water without the cloudiness from my tap. My boyfriend's happy as he loves filtered water. I know the filters may be expensive but at least I got the first one free and I'll just search the net to find the cheapest replacements. :T

My Jata jug fits in the fridge door and the lid is fine. Superb for free! Shame about the "pour" instruction booklet though.

Interesting choice of word above - is this where all the spammers come from then?

That's so true and well said withabix - we're really happy with the 20 we got! (only kidding withabix - just the one this time! :) )

C'mon everyone - let's be realistic, this was one of the better recent Freebies. Considering a lot of you go orgasmic over a packet of 10 free Jellybeans, does it matter what the price of the "original" one was here?

One thought - the Amazon receipt says it was paid for with a £15 Gift Voucher. Does this mean if we return them we'll get that amount of credit?

    Hope I haven't started something...
