Morning
i feel much, much better. Thanks for asking. I'm not getting everything done though, only stripped my bed and ironed yesterday. I really do need to fly.
im going to visit my friend who has been ill for a while this morning.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli Keep taking it easier than normal. Why was the teak oil on the garden furniture a frog? Or is it the paintbrush cleaning that's the froggie bit?Iona I hope the journey was uneventful; sorry about the weather. The weekend's looking more like it's June.Round I hope the eye is seriously improved this morning after all your tender care.
Narc0 Well done for getting all the forms in on time. I think those sorts of questions are designed by and for corporate bidders for work.Fayolle & Mademoiselle Hugs to you both re OHs work situation (and extra to Fayolle, just because!), as GI said.Sorry I've been MIA. The house is full of the rest of the bedding from the attic, the airing of which is on hold because of the rain which is doing the garden the power of good so I don't mind, and I'm now used to duvets and outdoor cushions festooning the place. I need to deal with two feather pillows and turn them into a dog bed but I'm waiting for Belovéd to choose a replacement for his current squashed flat one. I've been waiting several days.Wednesday I did the tip run with another whole carload (yippee!) and popped into Morribunds to see if they had any apricots because I thought I'd found a fab recipe. They had, 14 boxes, all reduced from 1.45 to 45p, so after a stint at the Foodbank (working on my own - glorious!) I then spent the whole of the rest of yesterday turning them into 27 jars of apricot jam. I made a mistake with the recipe and it's far nicer than the original recipe would have been - far too much sugar as it turns out! My legs hurt this morning because it took seven hours but it was so worth it. Also managed to snag myself a £1.50 F&V box is L!dl which delighted Belovéd looking for the cream I forgot to get in Mr M to make a Pavlova for Saturday and Sunday when we're seeing friends for food.I am not becoming slinky.Better is good enough.9 -
The Teak Oil was a frog because I bought it while ago, and hadn't got round to it. Not a very big frog, but needed a prolonged dry spell so the furniture was dry prior to application.
Friend too ill, so I'm at home today. I have a second lego model to build for my training session next week; might do that.
And i WILL clean my bedroom.
OOOh apricot jam! I have serious jam envy.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all,
An unsettled night here, I had a horrible meltdown in the early hours, it seems to be happening more at night recently when my mind is clearer. Thankfully it didn't wake the children. I made the mistake of reaching out to someone who I thought would be kind about it by text this morning - instead I got what she probably thought was tough love, which reduced me to tears. I did the school run trying to keep myself together... and vowed never to look to her for support again.
I have set the WM going, walked the dog and am now having a restorative cup of tea. The house could do with a hoover, but I keep putting it off as I know it will look just the same in a few hours time as we are constantly in and out due to the weather.
I hope that everyone has a lovely weekend x11 -
Aww ASB that's hard. I don't know what to suggest. Our LA has a MH dept - but it's not available for teachers...
What about contacting your union to see if they can point you in the direction of some support?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

ASB.. can you self refer to MIND where you are? They have dealt with a few of my lot and are superb and reliable and referrals are quick. The Samaritans service is there 24/7 and you are not bothering anyone and your feelings and thoughts are important enough. Please don't suffer alone. Sending you ginormous hugs..

ASB poor you. Pester your GP if you think you need more help, otherwise look elsewhere like Pigpen says. Despite MH issues being really common most people are pretty useless at knowing what to do or say which really doesnt help. You dont need tough love right now.
Paid stuff done, work will be full on next week. Fish goujons and chips eaten for tea, called at opticians for new contact lenses, and been for second dose of vaccine. Two loads of washing dried outside, week 3 of couch to 5k started.
HB DS sent me a pic of his 8.30pm Mr M yellow sticker haul last night. To be fair there was a lot that wasnt very healthy but he did get some meat which he will put in the freezer. I called into our local Li@l before the doctors and it looked like it had been ransacked, not much fresh food left. The joys of living in a small tourist town with one supermarket!
Feet up now, glass of wine poured. I have a new library book to read.11 -
Not much to report here either. Yesterday I dismantled and cleaned the hoover. Today I S&sd bathrooms and kitchen.Spend less now, work less later.10

went to Mrt's the other day and it looked like a plague of locust had stormed through it ~~ I am now going only once every 10 days or so, buying fresh and freezing down, in the evenings.
