Hi would appreciate some advice.
Symbio has been fine for 3 months, then went onto expensive tarriff.
Called and they say I was advised and they sent email about change of tarriff after 3 months.
they have forwarded the email but I am certain I never received it (I’m a control freak with finances).
do they have form on this? Or is it just unlucky?
Do I just have to suck it up as there is no way I can prove they didn’t send the email?
they won’t budge the tarriff for June.
is it just tough if you don’t receive an email?
I have asked nicely

My bills from Symbio all state the date when my fixed rate tariff expires.  But perhaps you are on a variable rate that just went up (the post is unclear).

I have always received tariff renewal email 1 month before expiry of the current tariff. Maybe yours went into spam.

It’s a variable rate. They have sent me a copy of the “ Reminder for Variable Tariff change ” but I’m sure I didn’t get it. Guess I’ll just have to accept it was lost?

I check my junk folder regularly but thanks for confirming, guess it was just lost.

Add Symbio to your contacts list, that way their emails are much less likely to be flagged as spam and get lost again.
Did they move you onto the standard variable tariff?.

They put me onto Fair and Green Variable Renewal B1.4 for June and won’t change it until July. The loss is about £30 for the month. Their forwarded email shows it was sent.

Tbh I wouldn't trust anything they say. In the renewal invites this week they've omitted the usual  link to find the best tariff, and only given an exspensive tariff option - a 50% increase ! ( presumably the one you've been put on).
Fortunately someone spotted that the quote link in previous renewal mails still worked.

Nobody just accepts their renewal quotes anyway without doing a comparison do they?.
At this point in time I've signed up for a 13 month fix, cant be doing with the uncertainty and market volatility using variable tariffs that'll be first in line for price hikes and back of the queue for price cuts.

I would love to know the number of people who have signed up to symbio in the last 3 days, and out of those the number who previously said they’d never do it!

if symbio do go bust it will be one messy solr process!

I’d say loads of people do outside of this community.
