Congrats MT, absolutely over the moon for you, about the house sale, not COVID! I’m currently in Scotland, rubbish signal which is why I’ve not logged on much. Can’t wait to see how things go for your new adventure.1

Legs - I've decided to rent for a while when I get back so I can take my time finding the right house and settle back into Wales againI'll start looking for a rental soon when I know how long the conveyancing will take but I'm not going to move until the end of August at the earliest.
The sign has been changed this morning to SOLD - they don't hang about!
I know I've made the right decision as, just this morning, mum has been to the optician for a check up and they've discovered a bleed behind her eye and have referred her to the hospital as an urgent case. Hopefully its nothing too serious but it just reinforces the fact that they need me back there.
Another little bit of good news, I filled in a tax claim form online last week to refund union fees paid and this morning a cheque for the last tax year has arrived - £306! I think they do them one year at a time so I may well get another one or two
It's been paid in on the online banking app straight away in case they change their minds!
COVID wise - I'm absolutely fine still, just can't taste or smell anything. Very bored though.... doing work from home but its very dull. 7 days to go....
The dogwalker is still taking him every day so at least he's getting out but there's lots of playing in the garden going on too - thank the Lord I have a garden, I don't think I could have coped without one or if it was the winter and raining constantly.
The track and trace people rang yesterday to take details of where I've been etc and someone rang again this morning to check I was at home (in the guise of seeing if there was any support I needed). Good that they're finally doing wat they said they would though I suppose.
Have managed to book an online shop for Friday so I'll have plenty of supplies - I'm eating through boredom so I'll run out if I carry on like I am! Need to do some sweaty exercise later too - it will pass some time and counteract the constant grazing

Thanks Buffy!
Well, today has been an unexpectedly good one - first the refund from the tax overpayment, then I got an email from work confirming my last day and when I'd be paid until, and then an offer of exam marking from the exam board meaning some additional cash when I've given up work.
The work email was a real mini victory as I thought that I'd be paid up until 1st September meaning that August's pay day would be a half month's salary but I got it wrong and August will be paid as a full normal month and I'll effectively be paid until Sept 15th
I'd budgeted for half a month so a full month is a huge bonus.
That means that, along with the tax money, I have an extra almost £2000 that wasn't expected. Hurrah!
Also, the exam board work will help out from time to time and is a nice bonus, even though I hate marking!
So, three good things in one day - who'd have thought whilst in self isolation
