Symbio Energy threatening me with court action

I am tearing my hair out with Symbio Energy and the lame way in which the Energy Ombudsman are helping (sic) me. Going back to Feb-21, Symbio overestimated my readings by over 7000kWH (10 months), I am still nowhere near there estimate back then. This was despit providing that regular readings. After some tooling and frying and lack of action, I cancelled my DD. Escalated to their ‘Quality Assurance ’ department who promised to send a meter reader around within 21 days, that was 5 months ago, no meter reader. Escalated to the Energy Ombudsman who have upheld my complaints, Symbio have failed to respond to their remedies. Meanwhile they are blocking me switching saying I owe them over £1000 against their fake meter readings. Not sure where to turn, I am as frustrated with the Ombudsman as I am Symbio. Any advise appreciated0

If The EO has offered you compensation then take Symbio to the Small Claims Court: you will win. There is some useful advice on Citizens Advice about sending a Letter Before Action. You can use the Final Decision in support of your claim.Fizz64 said:I am tearing my hair out with Symbio Energy and the lame way in which the Energy Ombudsman are helping (sic) me.
