The judge said that the parking ticket was not displayed properly and so the charge stands. She did not agree that it was about a keying erro. As the number plate was not displayed on the ticket, it goes against their terms and conditions.

    So i have to pay £90 + £70 + £25  = £185

    Was absoloutly gutted.

I was told I would have to pay this within 21 days. I have not received anything from the court and its been nearly a week now. Am I expecting something via post or email? I do not want a CCJ but also if they haven't requested it,  is it smart for me to ask for them to request it ?

So, this was a telephone hearing. It was initially supposed to be a preliminary hearing. The first judge ordered that if the parties could not resolve the issue at this time then a different judge would be available to conduct the full hearing later the same day.

Why was this a telephone hearing in the first place?

Having read back through your final WS, paras #14 & #15 were very specific about the difference between the claim and what was now being argued by the Claimant, "wrong reg" vs "incorrectly displayed". Did you ever highlight that to the judge?

At no point in this long thread did we ever see the actual PoC and the defence was based solely on what was stated on the PCN. It may have been useful to have seen the PoC at some stage.

At least you will be paying less than the original claim which was £245.

Looking at the evidence of the ticket on the dashboard, it does look very much as though the bottom left corner with the reg on it has been folded back and wedged under a joint on the dashboard. Whether the reg was one or two digits out or completely wrong, we will never know. It was irrelevant to the judge who was concerned only that the reg was obscured, if not deliberately so, then highly unlikely that it "fluttered" into that position.

Tough luck. This one has dragged out over a very long time. You can contact the solicitors and ask them how they want you to pay it. At least you won't have a CCJ on your record.

Tough luck on losing.  Payment methods/details will be on the reverse of the N1 claim form.
