You have not received a court summons. Summons are for criminal, not civil money dispute cases. I assume you've received a county court claim (form N1) from the Northampton CCBC?  If so, what is the Date of Issue shown on it?

i haven’t acknowledged service of the claim.

With a Claim Issue Date of 21st May, you have until Wednesday 9th June to file an Acknowledgment of Service. Do not file an AoS before 26th May, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. 

To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 23rd June 2021 to file your Defence.

That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.

Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Hi I’ve just done my acknowledgment of service, is that all I do for now? I’ve spent the last 2 days reading other claims I’m still not 100% sure what I need to put as my defence, but I think I have another week or so to get that in.

use the defence template by coupon mad, only 2 paragraphs to adapt, but DO read other recent court case threads to see what they have put that we have agreed upon, in case you get inspiration

good that the AOS has been done, you now have over 3 weeks to get the defence sorted out

I hope you emailed a SAR to the DPO at the parking company ( CEL ) ?  because that is one other task as well as that AOS that you have done

so 3 tasks in total, AOS (tick , done) , SAR , & Defence draft

I did write just two days ago...
