Lidl have introduced a new very strong coffee capsule to their range suitable for Nespresso machines. We had been getting the 3 they have Lungo, Ristretto, Viola and like them very much. This new one is stronger than any of the others and has a nice chocolatey tone to it which is lovely as part of my morning latte.
They have also added some 44 capsule boxes. These are very popular on the continent where they have always had much more variety. There's a small saving on the 44 boxes over the standard 20s. Problem though is having a big box in the cupboard. Granted I tend to get the boxes to half full and then start dumping them all together.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Went to Aldi last Saturday instead of Lidl because of roadworks and picked up two Aldi British beef Wagyu fillet steaks for £9.49 each. We had them last night with Sainsburys peppercorn sauce (the best supermarket one IMHO), Lidl beef dripping chunky chips and Lidl mushy peas. What a superb meal, the steak was so tender and bursting with flavour, better than Sainsburys fillet steak which are a few quid more expensive. We only have steak once every couple of months and this was a real treat.2

Not strictly on-topic, but quite interesting nonetheless if Aldi and Lidl are forced to change their policy of copying major brand packaging:

I hope the brands are unsuccessful in all this, because Aldi and Lidl have played a major part in curtailing at least in some part the extent to which they can use their brands to exploit customers.3 -

I wanted to warn everyone that Lidl is selling a Dulce du Leche ice cream. Don't under any circumstances buy it.
It's like poison. Acid. Everything bad your mother used to tell you would happen if you didn't wear clean knickers. Do not under any circumstances buy it, let alone eat it.
If you do see any stock in any store anywhere in the UK or even on the continent please PM me. I will humanely destroy it for the good of us all.. For some reason your posts always make me think of one of my favourite cheeses

Lidl is finally sending me spin coupons for items I buy regularly - translates into mere pennies off, but its the thought that counts.
In other news, I am reliably informed that the bigger Aldi in Southend (near the Saxon prince's burial mound) is having an in-store bakery fitted. It will have to go some way to beat Lidl!No man is worth crawling on this earth.

My Lidl spinning coupons seem to say I've won every time so far this month. But they don't necessarily tell me what I've won so it's a case of trying to figure out what new coupon might have been added. Not that easy really as there seem to be ones dropping off and new one added every day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
