They are absolute dupes of Subway and even in similar coloured yellow & green packaging. They are better than Subway imo as they are not as dense but the flavour is exactly the same. Since i spotted them I've noticed they do sell out pretty quick and I've been known to drive from shop to shop to find them because we love them that much0

Wandered around Lidl on Saturday afternoon, part of the quest being to get some nice dessert. We like their sticky toffee pudding (£2.99) and have had their apple pudding (same price, it's adequate). We noticed they had a cherry bakewell pudding on special (£1.49) so got that. Got to say we really enjoyed it. And yes while "recommended 4 servings" the 2 of us hoovered it up with a pot of custard.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I'm going to have a bit of a moan about Lidl scratch cards. I'm not so naive as to believe that the rewards on offer are going to do anything but boost Lidl's bottom line, but my experience is that the discount offers are worse than useless as all are for UPF products that I will never buy, and Lidl will know this from my data. I'm interested as to whether anyone gets incentives to buy fresh produce via the scratch card.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.2 -
Hmmm.... I've had a spate of offers for various forms of chips, which I never buy.
I guess that even within the data, there's a balance between giving vouchers on things that you often buy and things that you might need encouragement to buy for the first time.
There is the £50 bonus level which is fresh Veg.3 -
I quite agree that the scratchcard offers are almost 100% useless. There'd have to be a very good deal for me to consider buying something I don't normally get. 20% off isn't going to do it unless I knew that it was something that the food bank specifically needed desperately. Even some of the freebies (next one for me will be Batts condiment) I don't bother with for myself but will get for the FB.
And I do get annoyed that it's one pastry for free as it means I have to buy a second one for him indoors. So they get one way or another!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I've noticed that the Aldi and Lidl equivalent of Lazy Garlic seems to have disappeared. I'm assuming it's national? 🤔1

I saw a tray of jars in Aldi in Oxford a couple of days ago - might others have evaporated in the the Bank Holiday Rush? As it was warm & you could see kneecaps & elbows & people clearly thinking 'barbecue time'.1

Own brand Weetabix - I think Lidls Bixies are much better than Aldis Wheat Biscuits.
Same for Lidls Malties (Shreddies) they beat Aldi
