I did read over the Summer that Aldi were trialling dropping plastic bags on Bananas and using "Paper" bands around bunches similar to the ones Sainsburys are using .maman said:Only loose bananas available in Aldi today. Is there something going on with bananas. 🤔
Perhaps they are either about to roll that out so have run out of plastic bags or they decided that no packaging is even better than no plastic bags.2 -
They would be right to, occlusive packaging just leaves bananas wet and faster to rot.njm123 said:

My local Aldi appears not to be stocking Jersey milk any more, the fridge space it occupied until last week has been sacrificed for something else. 'Tis an abomination. No man is worth crawling on this earth.

I received my Free Fruit voucher in the Lidl app today.
I can confirm that it covers pretty much all packs of fruit, as well as fruity veg like Chillies and Avocados.1 -
What are the qualification requirements for that award? This month I have a load of MOCs for food I would not ordinarily buy.Cornucopia said:I received my Free Fruit voucher in the Lidl app today.

I had a good look at the Christmas goodies on Sunday. I like the look of their Christmas biscuits in the square plastic boxes at £3.99 each (three different varieties, almond, hazelnut and coconut I think). They make an ideal biscuit base if you have a child that fancies getting creative with a piping bag! Will hold back until nearer Christmas as these will be too easy to scoff with coffee before time.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

£50 accumulated monthly spend - it replaces what used to be the free bakery item.Rosa_Damascena said:

I got a voucher for Lidl Bats & Ghosts seasonal crisps. They are really good - thin formed potato crisps cut into cartoon characters. Supposedly Pickled Onion, but more like extra savoury ready salted. Very moreish.3
