Bring back the fruit & veg offer, that was the best of the lot.1 -
I'm just getting the scratch cards on the Lidl app. No I don't want 15% off something I would never buy thank you!!
And I don't really like the linked promo to Emily in Paris but we did buy the big 750ml bottle of fizzy lemonade and were delighted to note that there is no sweetener in it. That was the plain lemonade not the pink one - didn't have any of that in stock!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Complicated pricing problem in Lidl today... be aware if you have multiple offers on a product leading to different prices.
So... I had a voucher for the Soft Fruit Bakes. And the last time I bought them, I think they were £1.29. My app voucher was for a specific price of £1 (rather than pennies or percent off). So, all good.
At the till, I was charged £1.65 less 29p. So, not £1... not good. I would have checked on my electronic receipt, but for the first time ever, it didn't arrive, and still hasn't now. Perhaps it'll magically appear after midnight, or something?
Talking to the first staff member, she initially said that she couldn't do anything because I couldn't prove that I had had the voucher. I pointed out that was a defect in their system, not my fault. We also checked the price on the aisle, which to compound things was wrongly displayed. The right price (on a different shelf) was £1.65 with a Lidl App discount down to £1.40 (so not 29p).
It's all very confusing and in the end I think I wore them down into refunding the difference. I can't help feeling that the receipt not arriving isn't a coincidence and that somewhere in Lidl's system, a fuse has blown over the issue of conflicting offer prices (and the staff suggested something like that, too).4 -

A quick update to my Lidl pricing issue above. Nothing that provides any more insight into the issue, but some user error possibilities are ruled out.
- I did eventually receive the electronic receipt, and the transaction value was credited to my accumulated spending towards eventual bonuses (which it wasn't, originally).
- The receipt notification says that a voucher was used on the Soft Fruit Bakes.
- The voucher is entitled "£1 was £1.29", so I even remembered the old price accurately. I wonder if the mystery 29p discount comes from that 29p difference?
- There is quite a long spiel in the voucher Ts & Cs about the lowest price applying when more than one offer applies. I'm not sure if this is standard, or is recognition of a particular issue for this voucher.
- It seems likely that the recent (massive) price hike is part of the picture.2 -
