Good and Bad Buys at Lidl and Aldi stores (***Please don't expire***)

Lidl Deluxe onion rings have a nice batter, but the onion slithers out when you bite into one. So for me the clear winner is Lidl standard where this doesn't happen.
I think my favourite Aldi product is the Solero dupe ice cream filled lollies. Fruit sorbet coating rather than the cheaper, weaker fruit juice and stuffed with really nice ice cream. They don't skimp on the size of these lollies!

The problem with onion rings is that properly they need to be rings, in batter. So often they are chopped onion in batter. I guess it depends on which you prefer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I was in Lidl on 2/1/24 and picked up 15 times 500g packs of mince, 10% fat for 90p each plus 2 time 1Kg packs of cooking bacon for 60p each. There was still lots of mince left but I was worrying about how much I could pack into the freezer. Total price was £14.70 but full price should be £59.85 for the mince and £3.40 for the bacon, so £63 of meat for under £15 a saving of over 75% but not as good as last years haul of chicken breasts and mince plus other meats.
They didn't have any chicken breasts reduced this year as all the packs had a use by date of at least the 7/1/24 on them. I will make pies, chilli, or other meals that are mince based with the Mince. I only ran out of 2023's haul in early December.Someone please tell me what money is3 -

The Harvest Basket are far superior, cook to a lovely cripsy texture and in tact onion when eaten. Every ring comes out perfect.2 -
