Strange how lidl don't de-alarm power tools when you buy them.  Walked out the door and the alarm went off like i'd robbed a bank!
Or maybe it was just a mistake...

Used to happen lots with bottles of spirits but not so much now.
  • I bought a reduced rump steak £3 from Tesco yesterday and it had a hidden security tag!

Doesn't surprise me, anything that can be lifted is these days. Shoplifters are getting brazen! There is no shame in not having much, but people should feel ashamed of stealing rather than the current vibe of entitlement to help themselves.

While I agree with you Rosa_Damascena, it does amuse me that this sort of swiping wasn't what SMs envisaged when they introduced self service tills. 🤔🤣
  • I'm liking the look of the Aldi candle advent calendar - will be available at the end of October :)

yes but no.  You're not buying candles you are buying a celebration.  some people like this more than others.  I got a Yankee Candle advent calendar a few years back and enjoyed seeing what each new day brought me.  More candles than I'd use in probably 2 years but it was a month's worth of fun.   and I'm not a really Christmassy type.
