We used to nip over to France every other Saturday. I refuse to have a !!!!!! black British passport now so use French Click (which has gizzards) and Bonnebouffe in Ashford.
I looked at the prices for the tins of duck confit I bought regularly pre Covid (last time I was in France) and was shocked at the price increase. I checked Carrefour online and it's much the same. What used to cost £9 is now close to £30 a can!!

I wish Aldi would bring out an own brand version! 🤣

I usually buy my washing up liquid from aldi, but I thought I would give the lidl version a go, Wyx, but I was very disappointed.  Lost its foaminess very quickly.
Agree with you - Lidl washing up liquid is rubbish. I'm hoping that Asda's will be better.

Another thing I won't compromise on is granola.
I found Dorset Cereals dark chocolate curls with cherries and nuts in a 'end of line' freezer shop (now closed) and loved it.
I've tried lots of other cereals from different supermarkets but none come near.
So I buy the one I like. It's not something I eat every day - I have various cereals from Aldi - so to me it's worth it.
Funnily enough, Dorset Cereals make, or at least used to make, the Lidl Deluxe muesli in the blue and green bags. Best muesli we found anywhere, and, oddly, better than any of the Dorset Cereals mueslis - a better specification of fruit and nuts.
Lidl Deluxe muesli has been our staple for ages - brilliant quality.

The Aldi premium washing up liquid was good and recommended by Which but haven’t seen any for many weeks, nor the Lidl equivalent.

There was plenty in my local aldi yesterday, so must be a localised issue.

The Aldi grapes on Super Six this week are not pleasant, very acrid skins. Asda's equivalent are better.

Mindful of washing up liquid supplies, local Aldi well supplied (even after I refilled the stash).
While there, saw & was lured by their limonata (san Pellegrino lemonade) at £2.49 for 6 fat tins as opposed to the official skinny tins at over £4….

Even so, I dread to think what the profit margin is on these products! I'd rather stick to tonic water with a slice of orange / lemon than part with that kind of money for a fizzy.

Oh exorbitant, no question, but the  flavour reminds me of the KAS limon (11% lemon juice!) I drank in Spain 30 years ago. (I have tried lemon in tonic but it doesn’t taste like those crazy days! Mind they haven’t figured the taste of after-cave cold drinks, although draft San Mig can’t have changed much just I stuck to soft drinks.)

For washing up liquid I have been using Morrisons basic, which is about 37p per bottle. But I noticed the Lidl top-up packs so have switched to that and it seems fine
