Whats your definition of good MPG? Have you a preference for a petrol?
Something like an X5 but not a tank.
Probably around 3 years old or so.
Happy with diesel or petrol.
Would just like something comfortable, decent interior , probably 35+mpg.
But thanks for the extended lecture Swiss Tony...2 -
2019 Kia e-niro is about £30k. You'd get very low running costs on electric and ours will do 300 miles in summer on a charge, and 260ish in winter.2

I wanted to replace my Golf with something with a bigger boot (kid was on way) so picked a Tiguan. At the time we only had street parking so we also couldn't have anything too big otherwise we would never park it on our row
Really like it, boot big and made bigger by sliding back seats forward so our massive pram and stuff can fit in. Looks good and really like the rest of the functionality.
The Mpg isn't fantastic but in normal years I do 12k max.
We have moved now so have a drive so next time will get a plug in/hybrid.
We looked at an X5 but they were costly and they seem to always win the dubious award of most stolen car in the UK don't they? Q5 again was costly0 -
Also my Dad went to look at SUVs and ended up with an MG3 instead. He said the position for getting in and out was actually really good, and it's nice to drive.0

You could even ask on here for opinions on the ones you like, but
…..someone will say it’s got the dsg gearbox
……someone will say it’s too slow
……someone will say it’s too fast
……someone will say, but look at the colour.
etc etc0 -

X5 ish size but not an X5 - i do like the Q5. Good decent 2.0TDI in those.
New model Tiguan also a good shout.
Outside of that, Ford Kuga, KIA Santa Fe.

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

..always thought "admin fees" were a bit of a con really, the selling price should be the selling price. Although I noted recently that some insurance companies are doing the same thing. I got a renewal premium I was happy with as the increase was around inflation so happy to renew, then when I checked they had taken out another £25 for "admin fees". I did call them and got my money refunded.
