I'm no expert but I can only imagine the demand for air con in workplaces and homes is going to be through the roof.
I use giant chiller units in my industry and they will be drawing huge amounts of power over the next 2 days.4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.0 -
EcoScruples said:Question,
How do Octopus pay the SEG payments?
Is it paid to your bank account?
Are you sent a cheque?
Does it go as credit on your account?4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Cheshire0 -

I've just had a look and solar seemed to peak at about 7.5GW around mid day today. Wind dropped to less than 2GW early this morning. So it isn't surprising that the price steps up when the sun dips. Also suggests that the market doesn't expect the wind to pick up again this evening like it did yesterday - or if it does, not till after the super red period.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Me too! Although I don't get very high peaks, I do get longer generation. It is very satisfying to take the sting out of the evening peak.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Cheshire0

Today I have also noticed a nice side effect of the panels - the rooms underneath are cooler. I have one room with no loft, but it is also not under the panels and it is noticeably warmer than the room next to it!4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3.
