I've been looking into this purely out of curiosity, it seems like agile is a bit rubbish unless you have some way to store energy.

Bumping this thread to share the news (via @Laycity here) that the 3p Octopus SEG is increasing to 4.1p.
Also on Octopus's website here which now says:
Looking to keep your existing supplier and just switch your export to Octopus? No problem — export only customers can earn 4.1p/kWh for every unit they export. Email seg@octopus.energy to find out more.

Well, after 6+ months where Outgoing Agile has been a clear winner, this afternoon it dipped below the Outging fixed tariff.
Tomorrow if you've got a battery you should think about emptying it in the morning then trying not to export in the afternoon before 4pm. Yes, one of those slices is less than 1p/kWh!

    Bumping this thread.
    • Octopus Tracker has cheap gas today - under 2p/kWh in all regions.
    • Tomorrow's wholesale electricity price is under 5p/kWh, and Tracker electric should be around 14p/kWh.
    • Tomorrow's Agile price is zero or less all afternoon, from 1200-1600, and is under 20p/kWh from 2230 tonight.
The above points are great for regular consumers, but sadly it means Outgoing Agile isn't looking great tomorrow. In my region there are only two half-hour slots between 0200-1600 when it's paying more than the 7.5p/kWh of Outgoing fixed, and for that 1200-1600 afternoon period (when many of us get our best generation) it's paying pretty much nothing :(

That prompted me to have a look on Electric Insights and today’s spot price has averaged £12.54/MWh (wholesale).

    Question,
How do Octopus pay the SEG payments?
Is it paid to your bank account?
    Are you sent a cheque?
Does it go as credit on your account?
