I've been avoiding the supermarket as much as possible and trying to use up what's in the fridge, freezer and larder over the last week or so. I've spent £1.70 on milk, £1.60 on yoghurt and then £11.10 today on yoghurt, milk, nectarines, tomatoes, peppers, lettuces and cucumber which brings my total to £82.45/£120 and my average daily spend to £3.05.
That seems to be heading in the right direction, just got to keep up the meal planning now.

So dog food is literally the only budget line i haven't gone over this month >:)>:)>:)

I overcatered DD's birthday party, not by crazy amounts, but i forgot to even put the crisps out !!!   These will now get recycled back into the general food, although still currently allocated to the party budget.  tea yesterday was l/o sandwiches and cake, dinner tonight is l/o BBQ food and l/o pesta pasta & salad.

that still leaves, various bits and bos to eat which will get eaten over the coming weeks for lunches etc.  I had also bought some basic pizzas which i didn't cook in the end - they'll just be used for lazy days and emergencies, so again, in the general food now but against the party line.

it was a really lovely afternoon, we were lucky with the weather and it was wonderful to have friends and family around again - 100% worth going over budget.

So grocery challenge wise I'm at £575.36/£561
My cupboards, fridge and freezer are all still full, and all I can think of needing right now is spinach and milk.  I'll pick these up tonight and then hopefully declare for the month tonight.

Was going shopping for the lunch I am doing for 20 but apart from pasta and maybe milk, I can manage without from my stores. So will use this and check current prices to charge back. I will still need a few bits but can wait now.

Having managed to keep away from temptation by staying firmly on the sofa I'm declaring at £82.45/£120 and an average daily spend of £3.05; see you all over in July, goldfinches.
