Husband is against putting this house on the market as he thinks it's unethical and he really thinks it's going to take time to find our "dream home".0

So does he not like the one you've found?1

I'm really confused by this thread. What does soft market mean? Surely the EA will want paying at some point?0

@lookstraightahead that's when they come , take the pictures, etc... And will let people know who might be looking for our type of house. It doesn't go online.0

mrsmortgage said:We're about to put our house on the market, but really only because we've found something we'd move to. The house we want to buy is in our opinion slightly overpriced (similar properties go for £300k yes they have been converted to flats, but the asking price for the one we like is £425k). We think with what the EAs have told us and the current market we are able to offer £380k, if we're lucky and our house achieves more, we could even offer £390k. How do we address this with the vendor though? Ultimately we're really interested in the house, but we also don't think it's worth above £400k but at the same time we don't want to annoy the vendor (he's selling via Purple Bricks so we deal with him directly)
You talked yourself up from they go for £300k up to 400k
You have had offers on yours but not what you would like, you need to be getting the higher offers if you need them or you need to lower your expectations or carry on waiting
MY guess is its this one.
if it is and you spread the net a bit there are a few options with more space.

Our house is not on the market, it's just what "webuyanyhouse" would offer. EAs think they'd offer enough for us to able to afford £380k without a problem. We're not willing to compromise on location... As we're very happy where we are.0

So is it sold yet?0
