Just received notice dated 29/08/2019

I have received a letter claiming that I have missed 5 payment deadlines and have to pay in the next 7 days to avoid further action. The fine is for parking longer than the maximum period allowed. I have not received any correspondence from them regarding this let alone 5! Any help on how to appeal this would be REALLY appreciated.

When you say fine, this means that you have a ticket from the council/local authority, or toll ( such as Dart charge)
sometimes people think that private parking tickets are fines, they are not and its important to understand this.
Who issued the ticket, and where was the vehicle when it got the ticket ? - do not attempt to id the driver

Who is the letter from?  Have you read the NEWBIE sticky which is found on the front page of the forum?  It gives a step by step guide.

What do you need to know that you didn't read in the NEWBIES thread?

Post #1 about early appeals (not you)
Post #2 about letter before claim and court (not you)
Post #3 about POPLA appeal stage (not you)
Post #4 about 'ignore the debt demands and please don't start a thread about them' (yes, sounds like your letter).

Please read the NEWBIES thread and if the issue is you are on a phone, get off it and on a laptop.  No link given or needed to the top threads.  You haven't even said who 'them' is but it worries me you have not read (at all) NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.

When you read the NEWBIE stick then, you will find that it is a letter from a debt collector and, as pointed out by @Coupon-mad, go to post #4 of the NEWBIE.

I honestly did not receive any letters this is the first time I have received anything. I would not ignore it as things like this scare me.

Check that the address is correct on your vehicle's Registration Document (V5c).
This is probably why you have received no previous letters.  Did you move and not update the V5C?

The only worry is that your car logbook is probably registered at an old address - you MUST sort that out online to the DVLA.

Annoyingly, that also means you must email DRP and tell them that the new address they traced you to is correct, and to erase the old one.  Email the same to the data protection officer of the tedious PPC.  Both parties must be told to erase the wrong address.

Have you not complained to the retail park yet?  Admittedly I told you not to read post #1 of the NEWBIES thread, but please do, read about PLAN A and don't ask what PLAN A is (please).
