However, IMO, it's not a big deal.

Not sure how that's going to get you out of contract, unless it actually states you would have had a visit by now?

I guess, the contact does say 7 days - and this is against the law. Whether this can be interpreted as the OP wasn't told at all (about the actual rights), I don't know.

Well, their "7 day" cancellation can not override statutory protection - One for CAB and/or legal cover on household insurance to advise on. If the MSE guide is right on the up to a year and 14 days cancellation, I'd be telling Anglian to take a hike. Perhaps offer a £50 gesture of goodwill (without prejudice) to settle the matter.

I've sent an email to my lawyer for advice. I've emailed Anglian and asked for them to respond to my emails as they're ignoring me by COB tomorrow or I'd take it further. I'll look into MSE

If possible, can you provide a link to the guide so I can look it up?

One for @grumbler methinks as I don't have the link.

Is it worth the op posting this on the consumers right page?
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'
