Thank you @enthusiasticsaver- Giant Puppy is indeed gorgeous with his lovely lambent eyes. 💕
@doingitanyway - the sardine ketchup was actually more of a sardine/tomato paste - I think the chef called it a ketchup to make it sound more like the usual accompaniment to a fish finger!🤣
DSis, OH and little nephew arrived safely yesterday - DSis, being a real townie couldn't believe how rural it is the where the house is situated! Later DD and OH took them around the show the land - DSis and DD's OH all decked out in their midge nets! To be honest, I didn't blame them as both are terribly susceptible to bites and the midges are beginning to come into their own now!😱🦟
Today we drove to a falconry centre - due a function being held next door the birds were unable to fly but we had a good look at the owls, falcons and eagles. Little nephew loved them and was in awe - I'm always a little sad to see the really big birds in captivity though......☹️We went back to the village and had something to eat at the harbour and had a mooch in a home wares shop and then visited DD's OH at his office as he had the Giant Puppy with him. GP has taken a bit of a shine to little nephew - I think he sees him as another puppy so we have to watch GP as he's teething quite badly at the moment and is a little 'bitey' when he plays.DSis bought scratch cards for everyone - DD won £10!😃We're back now - DSis and OH are picking up fish and chips at the village. I think a film will be sorted out this evening for all to watch.MSE Scrimpy Retirement Things
I bought a reed diffuser for DD in the home wares shop. It was a lovely coffee smell - one of her favourite scents!👍

Sounds like you’re having a lovely time. I don’t like to see anything in captivity 😢 The lucky scratch card reminds me of a few years ago when Mr SA bought me a £5 scratch card on Christmas Eve. I moaned like mad at him for spending £5 on it but soon changed my mind when I won £25 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thank you @Sun_Addict @beanielou and @Sunshine_girl2 😃
It's another beautiful day today and I'm currently having a nice relaxing coffee whilst updating my diary. DSis, OH and little nephew have driven off to Loch Ness today as this will be the highlight of little nephew's trip here. He has been rather obsessed with Nessie since he found out it lives up here. He swore he saw it over the Loch whilst flying into Inverness! So a boat trip on Loch Ness with binoculars and a trip to the visitor centre are on the cards!DD, OH and Giant Puppy have just arrived back from their walk - GP is being threatened with his first bath! That should be fun!
As it's my last full day here today DD, GP and I are going to have a walk later to her good friend and neighbour so I can bid farewell to her and her mum and menagerie - dog, five cats and chickens!🐓🐶🐱And a last walk on the beach this evening with everyone.MSE Scrimpy Retirement Things
Nothing much here - I gave little nephew £10 to go with his holiday money as he's sure to buy a Nessie memento!😃Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Had forgotten about Black Magic chocolates. I can remember my mum having really pretty chocolate boxes, too nice to throw away. My dad used to buy them for her when he came back from his trips away.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Hi @Onebrokelady and @Sun_Addict - the chocolate boxes used to be so pretty - usually with pictures of country cottages with lovely gardens printed on the lids! I used to like 'Dairy Box' - although their selection of chocolates have completely changed these days and the chocs themselves are definitely smaller! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I went off n a google search of vintage chocolate boxes after posting here and found some with frills and ribbons 😀anyone remember some called Contrast, I think they were half dark chocolate and half milk, very cutting-edge back in the 60s and also Weekend I remember I did t like them when I was little because they weren't all chocolate 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206
