Thanks @beanielou - I tend to run an iron over bedding anyway before I put it on the bed - but I think it creases less than the cotton bedding that I have been using.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Good that both your pensions are being paid this month. Sometimes they take a while to pay out on the first so it sounds like your pension company and DSS are organised as far as yours goes. DH and I had our second jab today as well. No side effects yet thank goodness.

Re theatre tickets, we've just booked Hairspray for a Sat eve in July and got fairly decent tickets for £50 each so not quite sure what your sis is looking at! There's definitely still reasonable priced tickets out there.Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!

I must say that both DWP and my pension administrator have been on the ball - they've both written to me over the past weeks confirming how much and when the payments are to be made so I've been able to sort out my pots.Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hi there SSG. Sorry for the stupidly long absence (no real excuse either, just been busy life-ing) but I'm thrilled for you that you've retired! Sounds like you're having a ball and making the most of it, at least as much as anyone can at the moment. I'm still working part-time, but have a monthly DB pension that paid out when I hit 60, with barely any reduction. It makes me giggle every month when the money hits my bank account and I haven't actually had to do any work for it
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!
Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,3326
