What a fabulous day you had 🥂 Don’t blame you for buying the shares, might as well while the price is right.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Thanks @Sun_Addict - I don't spend a lot on the shares - it's a bit of a little hobby I've been doing for the past few years. I started out by buying one high risk stock for a few hundred pounds where I felt it had some excellent growth potential and then sold it when I've made a bit of a profit and reinvesting the proceeds into another risky stock with the same potential. The profits have varied, but I've never actually lost out so far. This current stock has been one of the best so I'm going to keep it for a bit as I think it's got more to give.

Spa day sounds wonderful. I've been trying to have more vegan days and you've reminded me to make some falafels. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Your spa day sounded like a lovely relaxing time and a lovely treat . A spa day is something I am looking forward to in the near future. The investment opportunity is a good one , I know you have lots of experience with things like this. Enjoy your decluttering and tidying .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

Thank you @doingitanyway and @Sunshine_girl2 😃
DIA - as you have probably read from my previous posts, I'm not 100% vegan. What I try and do is to keep vegan at home and at cafes when I have coffee and cake type treats, but come off grid if I go to a really nice restaurant like I did on Tuesday. I do miss cheese and milk chocolate the most and succumb to these occasionally at home as the vegan alternatives don't compare and the chocolate is expensive.Anyhow it was funny the other night when DSis's OH came over to pick her up with little nephew. LN wanted to know if I could let him have some cheese or a little snack as he felt hungry. I thought DSis was getting a cab back so I didn't know he was coming and didn't have anything in the house he would like as I've been banning snacks in the house for me and vegan cheese doesn't quite come up to his standards! He thinks I keep a very poor table!🤣
Today it has teemed with rain most of the day here - it's not long stopped. I've not been out but did some more tidying. The book told me to clear out and tidy the food container cupboard. I don't actually have one of these - they live in one of the deep drawers in the kitchen along with mixing bowls, whisks and other kitchen equipment. So I've cleared out and tidied both of the deep drawers. I didn't need to throw anything away but everything looks much neater. 😃
I've also been trying to read and subscribe to more diaries now I have extra time.Tonight is veggie sausages, wedges, peas and toms for dinner.MSE Scrimpy Retirement Things
I was speaking to DD earlier and she told me it was her good friend and neighbour's birthday today, which I wasn't aware of. So I've done something I've been meaning to do for a while and that is take out a yearly subscription to the Jacquie Lawson online card service. For the past few years some friends of mine who live miles away have been sending me these lovely animated cards on birthdays, Christmas etc. I've been meaning to take out a subscription and thought today was as good as time as any so I subscribed and sent DD's friend a birthday one. She replied later that she loved it! And then I had a WhatsApp from my colleague, who worked closely with me and my ex-boss, to share a photo of his new baby daughter - so I emailed him a congratulations card too - hopefully it got through the firm's firewall!
The subscription is £15 per year and you can send as many as you want! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks @milann - knowing me I'll be sending out the usual birthday and Christmas cards as well🤣 - it'll be handy for ad hoc occasions like Halloween though and it's such a nice thing to receive. The Christmas one I got this year was lovely and played 'Holy Night' which is one of my favourite carols. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
