Like you I like the idea of not being 100% vegan. I aim for 'eat food, not too much, mostly plants' can't remember who said it...that said, I do eat too much sometimes...
I saw someone open an e-card on the bus. I heard it too as it sang 'happy birthday' made the receiver and the rest of the bus smileIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

90% of the time I’m vegan but I eat fish occasionally as long as it doesn’t have skin, bones, heads or tails. I haven’t eaten meat for over 30 years. I like cheese but hate eggs, milk, butter and margarine. When I go abroad I just go vegan to avoid eggs as all their vegetarian food seems to involve an egg garnish 🤮I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

The spa day sounds lovely.Im vegetarian but couldn't give up eggs and cheese or milk chocolateOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205

I can’t even sit near anyone who’s eating eggs just the sight of them turns my stomach. I don’t know why but I suddenly went off eggs, milk, butter and marg when I was 5 - which was a very long time ago 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I'm fully vegan but I've always hated meat, fish and eggs, so it was just dairy, chocolate and things with egg in like non-vegan cakes that I gave up.
It's been 5 years and I couldn't go back to eating dairy now.
My husband is like you, vegan at home but will have non-vegan treat meals when eating out, and he also buys the occasional camembert.
I think that's totally fine though, every single vegan meal that people choose to eat helps to reduce animal suffering and improves our overall environmental impact. It's about progress not perfection and looks different for everyone. If someone usually has meat 3 times a day and decides to do one vegan dinner a week, then that should be celebrated rather than there being criticism of them not being "vegan enough".

Thanks @doingitanyway@Sun_Addict @Onebrokelady and @Debt_Me_Out_Of_Here 😀
My DD is just like you SA - she can't stand eggs. I mean if it's in a cake batter and then cooked she's ok, but nothing in 'eggy' form - not even custard or a quiche!@Debt_Me_Out_Of_Here - I agree with you totally that every vegan meal eaten helps to reduce animal suffering and the environment - plus the health benefits as well. I think more and more people are having a few meat free days in the week.I've been vegan-good today. I met my friend for a coffee and cake - mine was a vegan peanut brownie though!😀
This afternoon I watched some of the episodes of the new Netflix series 'Halston' about the American fashion designer who was massive in the 1970s. Ewan McGregor plays Halston and he's absolutely excellent in the role. I love the episodes I've watched - a bit of a step back in time for me to the 70s - it's quite raunchy in places - sex, drugs, Studio 54 and great fashion!👍

It was my turn to buy coffee and cake today and I bought bread, plus carrots and sultanas for a Madeleine Olivia broccoli, apple and walnut salad. I made a big bowl and had enough for dinner, plus tomorrow.I've also booked tickets today for DSis and me to see 'Mama Mia' in September in London. Originally I had bought tickets for 'Joseph' as a Christmas present for her before the first lockdown. Subsequently the performances were cancelled so I got my money refunded. I was going to rebook but she is organising one of our limo trips with friends and the majority want to see Joseph as they've not seen it before. So we're going with Joseph for the limo trip in August and me and DSis decided on Mama Mia as we haven't seen it for a few years and love ABBA. 🕺Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Will take a look at Halston as I loved Saturday Night Fever back in the day which is in a similar vein. When I was a teenager I went to disco dancing classes where they taught us how to do the Night Fever dance and You Should Be Dancing 🕺 I love Abba too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
