  • all im saying is i got sent a harrods gift card from kudos. whether they have an account with harrods i dont know

it is the same adam c winter. I rechecked my documents and all i had previously was a letter which said if i had any queries please contact adam. It had no surname. I looked at the other letters i got and it has Adam c winters. so i guess its the same person

I notice Clever kiwi has also removed her posts, including where she says she has reported this company to Trading Standards and Harrods, and said Harrods are unhappy about the use of their name.Fortunately they cant get at the member who has preserved IRDmans quotes ! Post no #16 and clever kiwis quotes, post number #26

I also attended the same promotional seminar, at the Kudos Mayfair offices on Wednesday 12th December 07. However, my views and opinions are slightly different.....We were invited to attend the seminar in Mayfair and in return for our time we would receive either a Harrods gift card for the value of £150 or a choice of other gifts (All very nice!!!). Whilst we were in the offices of Kudos we were treated totally professionally and all their staff came across very polite, it certainly wasn't a 3 hour high pressure presentation. The product and concept they were offering was excellent!!! In fact, the massive joining fees you mentioned???? I spend over £3000 pa and the main reason for us attending was because our friends have been using their product and service for over 5 years (we have been away with them on 2(Two) trips organised by Kudos, great accomodation, very well looked after from door to door) At the end of the presentation no-one was hassled in anyway and all of us left with a good impression about the whole thing. Today in the post we received as promised our Harrods card, so I don't quite understand your statement "DODGY" "BE WARNED"....Instead, I would say "REFRESHING TO MEET A REAL COMPANY, THAT OFFERS A REAL SERVICE". I would also like to add, that we didn't join Kudos, we were advised by the presenter that our friends membership can be extended for us to use, which we have already sorted....so I DON'T understand your moan, then again some people are never happy and always want a FREE LUNCH!! Maybe you could comment or you should speak to our friends who also feel the same as us.
just captured these before they get removed too

Clever Kiwi & Hollyday, are you the same person???? I spent £3000 pa travelling and enjoying myself, whats your point?

As I said, in my reply to CLEVER KIWI, I spoke to Kudos Concierge today to say "Thank You" for our card that they promised, it arrived in the post this morning. They also explained that they wanted to inform everyone that YOUR CARD HAD GONE MISSING IN THE POST!!!!!??????!!!!! DODGY POSTMAN, maybe!! Although they haven't concluded their investigations they sent another card to you today.

As I said we got what we went for, maybe you should be abit more patient and allow the company to sort out what they can, rather than jumping on the attack....or maybe I got lucky because our friends are members with Kudos....NOT!

If you are NOT the same people, how do you know about Kudos and if you experienced the same as the CLEVER KIWI, then you know all about Kudos anyway, after YOUR APPARENT 3 HOUR HARD SELL PRESENTATION...LOL

    and this.........

I spoke to the Kudos Concierge staff today to say "Thank You" for our Harrods card that we received today, via post, they informed me of the whole story about you losing your card in the post and they were trying to sort this incident out, they explained that wanted to some time to go by to A) see if your card turned up! B) inform their relevant departments what had happened and organise a new card for you. Instaed of YOU being patient YOU went on a "witch hunt" to try and damage them and their name......DONT you have anything better to do! Maybe, you should allow a company to at least correct a situation before attacking!! They informed me that even though they haven't concluded their investigations into your apparent missing card??? They have dispatched a replacement card to you and cancelled to apparent missing card!!! The decent thing to do in my opion is maybe once you receive your 2nd CARD is post an apology...or are you just in it for the MONEY?????
    and this.........

I'm BORED of this topic, I'm OFF to SPENT MY Harrods Card.....Yipheeeeeeeeeee!!!
What you going to spent your £300 on, HOLLYDAY, sorry I meant £150 the other card is CANCELLED!!!

    and this....
  • Are there any catches with these Harrods vouchers? Is it a case of 'This voucher entitles you to £150 off any purchase of £3000 or more', or are they genuinely vouchers that you can use to purchase an item that has a price tag of £150?
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"
  • Like you I have just received an unsolicited "personal invitation" through the mail and so have been lookking into Kudos Concierge.

It does seem that Kudos is a little more substantial than perhaps some of the entries in this thread suggest.

The company appears to have started in Northern Ireland (hence the recent June 2007 UK registration). It offers concierge services to companies (as part of their benefits packages) and direct to individuals. It linked with an existing UK concierge company (Ten) to get a foothold in the UK. I guess this is how they have such high membership numbers (ie get the company as the client and then count all of their employees as customers. And perhaps even count the customers that Ten acquired before the link.)

According to the Irish site which includes several news cuttings (www.kudos.ie/testimonials/index.html) the MD is the former director of O2's business services and the startup is owned and backed with EURO 500,000 by BPI Telecom. There are no financial records at Companies House yet.

I do not know anyone at Kudos but I would guess that a lady with this type of career behind her would be short-sighted to get involved in something that does not flatter her as a high perfoming serious individual - dodgy companies would not seem to be brand consistent so to speak.

That said, this looks like a start-up with an ambitious growth plan rather than an established organisation. And 'no such thing as a free lunch' is a time tested aphorism.

I must emphasize that I have no connection with nor interest in Kudos or any other connected venture.
