We had a lovely day out , my parents were thrilled to see their friends again after 18 months . The weather was glorious which meant we were outside in their gorgeous garden which was a plus. The journey there was somewhat of an adventure the sat nav took us down single track roads , so we opted for the A roads coming home and passed the roundabout to an MSE friends home 😀.Today is the lovely garden centre after the weekly shopping . My DD is home tonight , they have had a lovely time down South.Hope the weather is good again for the bank holiday .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

Have enjoyed a much overdue trip to the lovely garden centre with my mum , that should have been a treat for her 80th birthday last September but happened today. Everything was done in a safe Covid way very pleased.I am home now with a large GF scone that I didn't manage at lunch. On the Covid front, new cases seem to be levelling out in my area after the horrendously high rates of the last month, there seems to be a vaccination or testing centre on every corner for anyone to go to. Let's hope people take up the chance , and go .I am looking forward to some time at home tomorrow and housework will need doing.Money front looks good , everything going as per budget.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

Seasidegal58 said:The DNA test sounds really interesting. I hope you are able to find some information for your mum.I had one done a few years ago, although I stipulated that I did not want my details shared. It appears that I'm 45% English (originating in the West Midlands), 27% Irish and then Scots, Welsh and Swedish in descending order! The Swedish came in at only 3% so I'm a real British Isles gal as well as a Seasidegal!🤣
I hope your mum and dad enjoyed their weekend trip.4 -

What a great day weather wise, been outside since 9.30 , just popped in for more water. Had DGD last night, popped to my parents for breakfast this morning. Walked around 4 miles with my dad , come home and now going to start a new book. The Covid rate is going down in my town thank goodness , owing to the surge testing and vaccination progress. Makes you feel a little more confident .Back outside to enjoy the weather .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4

What a great weekend, managed a 6 mile walk yesterday with a good friend. This morning have been to Tesco and walked the long way back so well up on the step count. Nearly booked a holiday to Portugal yesterday , it was a bargain going next week but it didn't look very well kept the hotel and was miles from nowhere . Will stick with my Lakeland trip next week instead .Have logged on work and not as bad as I feared but could get busy in the day. Definitely spending an hour or so outside at lunch , will work later this evening to compensate .Breakfast time I think. My weight loss seems to have plateaued, but I am happy with this as I fit in all my clothes again in fact some are very lose . Will just keep doing what I am doing .Need to pay my cc off this week as the statement is generated today .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.4
